Beware of fraudsters on internet shopping.

I noticed the other day of an ad that came up giving away free hand and face cream for a trial, the makers were on the Sharktank Show and received wonderful reviews.

I applied for a free sample but had to pay for the postage.

The creams arrived within two weeks from America.

On checking my internet bank statement I discovered they had deducted $134.48 from my account.

I immediately saw the Bank manager who said it looks like a fraud dealing and they would stop my Mastercard.

On checking the account yesterday they have again deducted $138.00.

I rang the bank and they said they would immediately stop payment on this pending amount. The girl said once they get your bank details they will try anything to get the lot. BUYERS BEWARE. That's the last time I will ever get a freebie.

that is why I only use Paypal and as they say "there is no such thing as a free lunch" )

I pay with a travel money card, and keep just enough in it to cover the cost of what I'm buying. I also pay through papal

I will never go for anything that requires you to pay postage, if it is free then they should pay postage to trial their product. Yes and I agree with Radish and Casey do not use your card that is connected to your bank account. Get a prepaid card or use paypal, the prepaid can have as little money on it as you like.

I had the same thing happen - only double that amount for something that was free.  The bank changed my credit card, so they won't be getting at that again, and they refunded my money.

The parcel arrived I think - I haven't opened it- won't be doing this again!!!!

There have been a few warnings about companies using false references like Shark Tank or celebrities to offer ‘free trials’ of beauty products … followed by ongoing deductions to customer’s bank accounts that are difficult to get out of, e.g.

Thanks for all that information RnR. My Bank said they will be stopping the payments and also will cancel my Mastercard., all money will be refunded. That's the first and last time I will be duped.
