Miranda Kerr's backyard wedding to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel was tasteful and intimate - with just 45 friends and family watching as the couple exchanged their vows. But the pared back guest list didn't stop Miranda Kerr from creating the day of her dreams - with the Australian model opening up about her May nuptials in the new edition of U.S. Vogue. For her big day the bride wore a breathtakingly beautiful custom Dior Haute couture gown, painstakingly created for her by the brand's new artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Floral embellishments and ball gowns are in, veils are out and brides are wearing CAPES instead: Expert reveals the biggest wedding dress trends of 2017 so far

Nadine Nasser-Agha reveals wedding dress trends of 2017

A Sydney based wedding blogger who keeps on top of wedding trends has shared with FEMAIL the three wedding dress trends that are on the rise. Nadine Nasser-Agha, 22, runs the Instagram account The One in White and has noticed that 3D embellishments (right and inset) capes replacing veils and the timeless ball gown (left) are gaining in popularity. 'As the years have gone by brides had had their dresses adorned with beads, sequins and lace and something that has been trending is the use of 3D embellishments,' Nadine told FEMAIL.

I worked for a famous Sydney dress designer many years ago.. His wedding gowns were to die for. He made the dresses and I adorned them with crystals, beads and sequins. Wow they were beautiful. He also designed dresses for stage productions. I had the chance to do all the feather and sequin work on the dancers costumes. It was a great time in my life. R.I.P Christopher.

Oh what a fab job Hola!

Ronda, 30, married her fellow UFC fighter and partner of almost two years Travis Browne on Saturday during an outdoor ceremony (left) in Hawaii, on what appeared to be a joy-filled day. Travis, 35, took to Instagram on Tuesday to gush about his bride following the happy occasion. The former UFC bantamweight champion picked a white, plunging number with embellishments and lace details (right). Ronda (also pictured inset) also wore a long veil, which grazed the bottom of her mermaid-shaped, floor-length gown. Travis, meanwhile, opted for a simple shirt with light-colored pants and a matching vest on the big day along with a lei made out of leaves around his neck, as is fit for a Hawaiian wedding.
