Can I get the UK pension?

I have been told I may qualify for a UK pension if I add an additional year (I have 9 years of contributions). My question is: if I receive a partial UK pension, will centrelink deduct $$$ from my Australian husband's part pension? Thanks

Centrelink will reduce your husbands pension if you receive a UK one.

Your UK pension will be counted as income so yes, it could affect how much your husband gets.

However, I know people who've done it, and the reduction in the Centrelink pension is LESS than the amount you'll get from the UK pension, so you should still be better off.

Thanks.
