The scene features a young couple looking at Kings Park in Western Australia watching the sunset. Those that know the sun rises in the east and sets in the west were quick to point out the obvious mistake.
The West Australian contacted Australia’s tourism body to notify it that the below image of a couple at Kings Park showed them watching the sun set in the east – not the west where the sun should be setting.
:) Doing!! The photo blooper reminds me of the lady in the purple dressing gown who keeps popping up in both Labor and Liberal campaigns.
She seems to be a veteran of political campaigns and media around the globe. The photo has likewise illustrated stories about retirement and healthcare in numerous news websites including Network 10, financial news site CNBC, Britain's Daily Express, Radio Canada International, Germany's Die Welt and Connecticut's New Haven Register.
BTW: The photo was taken at least 10 years ago in the United States.
At the time of the photo shoot, the woman was 72-years-old. Todd Keith, a photographer from Salt Lake City who took the photo, said he believed his model was a US citizen who has since passed away.
2018 in Oz for Labor.
And in 2019 for the Libs as a billboard and on Facebook.
LOL ... beware generic stock images I think.
As for the poor woman, wonder what she would think of her political fame around the globe.
More.
