I'm off to see a New York soul band called Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings at the Opera House on Friday.  Fantastic musicians.  I see a concert every now and then.  I fairly recently saw Prince and Janelle Monae and I'll be seeing Santana and Guy Sebastian.  

I've gotten to the point where I no longer even bother asking anyone whether they want to join me - I'm so used to getting a 'no thanks'.  I just toddle off on my own and have a lovely time.  But I know many people feel uncomfortable about doing things or going places alone and I'm a friendly, sociable creature so I thought I'd mention here that if there's anyone else in Sydney who would like company to see an occasional show, or a night at a 'grown-up' club like The Basement or similar, let me know.

Perhaps I'll just mention here when I'm planning something and see if anyone is interested.  

A neighbour says she'll go with me when Andre Rieu comes to town - but I'm afraid I won't be buying a ticket to that one. -_-
