Conservative politician caught at illegal gay orgy

Jozsef Szajer, an ultra-conservative, anti-LGBTQI Hungarian politician has resigned after being caught partaking in a gay sex orgy in Belgium.

Szajer, co-founder of the ruling Fidesz party, is known for being one of the most divisive anti-gay politicians in Hungary.

After numerous noise complaints from neighbours and fears that COVID safe restrictions were being breeched, police raided the party and found the politician trying to flee “along the gutter” whilst bloody and possibly injured. According to news.com, the group of 20 – mostly male – participants included two EU diplomats.

The Fidesz party has recently proposed banning same sex couples from adoptions, and Szajer personally assisted in writing the country’s conservative constitution which denies same sex couples the right to marriage.

“A passer-by reported to the police that he had seen a man fleeing along the gutter; he was able to identify the man. The man’s hands were bloody. It is possible that he may have been injured while fleeing. Narcotics were found in his backpack. The man was unable to produce any identity documents. He was escorted to his place of residence, where he identified himself as S. J. (Jozsef Szajer) by means of a diplomatic passport,” said the Belgian Public Prosecutors in a statement.

Mr Szajer quickly resigned from his role, and asked for forgiveness from his colleagues, voters and high profile wife. “I apologise to my family, to my colleagues, to my voters. I ask them to evaluate my misstep against a background of 30 years of devoted and hard work. The misstep is strictly personal. I am the one who owns responsibility for it.”

“I deeply regret violating the COVID restrictions – it was irresponsible on my part,” said Mr Szajer. “I am ready to pay the fine that occurs. With my resignation on Sunday I drew the political and personal consequences.”

In response the drugs found in his backpack, Mr Szajer denied all responsibility. “I did not use drugs. I offered to the police to take an instant test, but they did not do it. Police said an ecstasy pill was found. It’s not mine, I don’t know who placed it and how. I made a statement to the police about this.”

Are you surprised by the arrest of such a high-profile politician? Do you find it ironic that Mr Szajer denies basic rights to members of the LGBTQI community?

Does not surprise me at all -- after all how many of OUR politicians stand up and preach for doing the right thing in marriage and then they are found to be having many affairs themselves,  so many are hypocrites
