“As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends,” the 54-year-old wrote on Twitter.
The split is seemingly on good terms, with Jeff noting: “We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other. If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again.”
The entrepreneur has an estimated net worth of over $US136 billion ($A189 billion), making him the richest person alive, eclipsing Microsoft founder Bill Gates by tens of billions of dollars. He’s also the first person in modern history to amass a fortune of more than $US100 billion ($136 billion).
But he's famously humble, washing the dishes every night and never scheduling early morning meetings so he can make breakfast for his kids.
His soon to be ex-wife, MacKenzie, 48, is a novelist who supported Jeff’s business by initially working as an accountant for the start-up.
Their divorce could be the most expensive separations in history.

I think it would be timely to set up a $2b fund to support the homeless prior to the divorce so that they both have an opportunity to share the joy of what it acheives.
