Do you ask for a receipt on your emails ?
I always ask for a receipt - no one has to comply but it is useful particularly in business correspondence.
My email program I use constantly these days and have done for last 5 years as easier than Outlook and most enjoyable on private ones with use of emotions etc. has this quirk that many other may or may not have.
It tells you if the email is deleted years let alone months later without being read.
Very sneaky if you are into emailing politicians. Now most employ staffers - at the expense of the tax payer but both should at least read an email from a tax payer in my opinion!
One example below - longest time I have on record.
It was sent when Helen Coonan took sports like those below = off the must buy list that was made up by Senator Ralston when he allowed PayTV. Thereby letting SBS off the hook - they lied btw when they said PayTV bought up the rights before they could and for more money etc - as there are TWO lots of rights - FTA and PayTV.
This was received last year from a 3 yr old email.

Barnaby Joyce is guilty too on Telstra sale. Deleted 7 months later unread.
Interesting little quirk is on www.incredimail.com email program - others may have it too - never got anything like this back on Outlook in years.
Gerry may know others being a web master etc.
I do use it if I write a business email--but not for private---what is that email service you use Val ?
