Do you ask for a receipt on your emails ?

I always ask for a receipt - no one has to comply but it is useful particularly in business correspondence.

My email program I use constantly these days and have done for last 5 years as easier than Outlook and most enjoyable on private ones with use of emotions etc. has this quirk that many other may or may not have.

It tells you if the email is deleted years let alone months later without being read.

Very sneaky if you are into emailing politicians. Now most employ staffers - at the expense of the tax payer but both should at least read an email from a tax payer in my opinion!

One example below - longest time I have on record.
It was sent when Helen Coonan took sports like those below = off the must buy list that was made up by Senator Ralston when he allowed PayTV. Thereby letting SBS off the hook - they lied btw when they said PayTV bought up the rights before they could and for more money etc - as there are TWO lots of rights - FTA and PayTV.

This was received last year from a 3 yr old email.
To: Coonan, Helen (Senator)
Cc: Baker, Mark (MP); senator.conway@aph.gov.au
Subject: Sport on FTA - Soccer v Cricket on SBS
Sent: Tue, 1 Mar 2005 15:43:57 +1100

was deleted without being read on Tue, 11 Mar 2008 20:41:35 +1100
Barnaby Joyce is guilty too on Telstra sale. Deleted 7 months later unread.

Interesting little quirk is on www.incredimail.com email program - others may have it too - never got anything like this back on Outlook in years.

Gerry may know others being a web master etc.

I do use it if I write a business email--but not for private---what is that email service you use Val ?

Incredimail and it has all sorts of backgrounds for letters.

Can use more sober ones for business.

www.incredimail.com.au for free version with ads.

I used to use Outlook for business but got fed up with changing over for private so made Incredimail my default.

I used to have that on my other puter but I got rid of it --because the more back ground you have the more bytes it takes up--and if someone is on limited downloads it wastes their use

Never had trouble on my old one with only 256 ram etc on dial up for years. Except on huge emails with too many emotions to my family and friends. So had to do them in parts.

Now with my 1 GB ram etc - never had a problem.

I don't have a problem now either but I know many that are still on a very slow dial up and can't get BB as yet my Son for one--and it takes up to much for him to receive one.

WOW! What a giggle. I laughed and laughed at this post. Fancy being abe to say the so and so deleted you without reading your important mesage.

Maybe you should send this to ACA. They would love it.

While on the subject. Maybe I am the odd one out. I actually received a reply to my email to Kevin 07.

Maybe he has the same facility as you do.

Good one mate.

I received a reply from Kevin Rudds office at least.

Would be nice to think they are read by someone in power - I doubt it, but anyway nice to receive a reply and at least I would think the number of e-mails tallied. Hopefully anyway.
