Electricity Pricing ?

Why does this site continue to claim that electricity prices are falling and we can save hundreds per year on electricity ?

It is a load of crock, I put solar panels on my roof and changed over to solar hot water years ago, my bills were zero, sometimes in credit. now years later I am back to $300 to $400 per quarter, thanks to the stupidity of State government for selling the poles and wires and the GREED of the suppliers to be able to pay their CEO's $mill plus /P.A. My pet hate are lazy journo's who cannot find a decent topic to write about. !

My state has aurora+ I have it. You do pay a small fee for the app. But you have peak and off peak periods, so we try to washing and cooking in off peak, weekends is all off peak much cheaper. shower in off peak as well. we pay $100 a fortnight off our bill and we are miles in front at the moment, The app shows you how many days power you have and where you have uses the most power. and they take there money every 28 days Our last bill was $84 for 28 days.

Johnboy, thank you for that reply I will look into it . I am of the opinion that we have been sold out by our pollies.

Johnboy, checked out Aurora and they charge a higher rate almost across all tarrifs compared to current supplier, Origin". Bunch of thieves is my opinion, they put up the price based on number of new solar installs. keeps the status quo for the $million dollar CEO's.

Thanks Micreen, I am in Tas, and its called aurora plus, Its relatively new here, but it works well so far. They told me as they improve on the app we will be able to see exactly what is using the power so we can turn off what we dont need. But im with you, they are a bunch of thieves and they are not doing this to save us money in the long run, Its about $50 a year for the app so they make money there, They say all these things are for our benefit but its really all for them , we know that. But so far we have off peak on weekends and certain times of the day.and you pay every month and you top up as needed. so far so good.

I am currentlywith Click energy but since they have joined with Amaysin
I can no longer get or see my bills on line, so am in process of
changing to Origin or maybe Red Energy .. I am in NSW
