Elvis festival promises to leave you All Shook Up

From 9-13 January 2019, over 26,000 people will shake, rattle and roll into Parkes, NSW for the biggest tribute to Elvis Presley in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 2019 Parkes Elvis Festival program is filled to the brim with more than 150 unique Elvis-themed events that are sure to get you all shook up.

Starting out as a small get together between like-minded Elvis fans in 1993, the Festival has grown today into an international renowned phenomenon, endorsed by the estate of Elvis Presley, Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.

This year’s Festival theme is All Shook Up, celebrating Elvis' iconic song and all things '50s.

Released in March 1957, All Shook Up quickly topped several American charts and became certified double-platinum and an instant jukebox hit. Dust off the pompadour wigs, shine those blue suede shoes, and get ready to rock and roll at this celebration of all things '50s!

Tickets are on sale now to all events. For more information visit www.parkeselvisfestival.com.au.

I was never a big Elvis fan. I thought some of his songs were good but I'm fed up with all the hype whenever they talk about Elvis. Sometimes a whole weekend is devoted to Elvis on the radio. Even Pricilla gets on the bandwagon to promote him. He's been dead many years now so let him rest in peace.

I feel the same Hola

When he was alive many, many people skimmed money from his success, now he is dead many are still skimming money any way they can by using his name.

RIP Elvis.

There are plenty of dead musos whose talent lives on because of their enduring quality and ability to create magic memories. Different for most.

Why does the Elvis festival need to be held in Parkes??

If we are looking for intelligent life beyond our galaxy does anyone think we may be sending the wrong message?

I have always been a great Elvis fan..he was an extremely talented singer and how I loved those eyes!

I have never watched an Elvis impersonator and never will..because..quite frankly no one but no one.. can compare ..

R.I.P. beautiful person..

I remember him starting as Elvis the Pelvis.

I didn't like him much when he was alive, but I've grown to like a lot of his songs in the last few decades.

Funny how attitudes can change over time.
