Six ways to use up ripe bananas

ripe bananas

If I have ripe banans, I like to make my infamous banana bread for my nephew who absolutley loves it. But there are other ways you can use up ripe bananas instead of them rotting and being thrown in the bin. Here's what you can do:

  1. make banana bread, of course!
  2. make a quick, healthy and super-easy dairy-free banana ice-cream
  3. blend up a banana and berry smoothie
  4. make fluffy banana pancakes
  5. make banana muffins
  6. make banana bread pudding

Of course, you can peel anf freeze the banans in zip locked plastic bags to bake something yummy at a later date!

What's your favourite way to use up ripe bananas?

I freeze my ripe bananas in their skin and when I feel like it make a banana smoothie. Very easy and effective.

all of the above :)

slice and dry them. Dried bananas make a great snack and are great energy food on ahike.

I love bananas, but last week the Cardiac nurse told me the riper the banana gets the more sugar it contains,i freeze them when they get ripe skin on cut them up and add them to a smoothy Yum,

I slice my bananas up and squeeze some lemon juice on them

Then spread out banana slices onto a cookie sheet to prevent them from freezing together.

Place the sheet in the freezer for 20-30 minutes,

.... then transfer the slices into a sealable freezer bag.

On hot days I eat them as popsicles.
