Great Australian actress loses cancer battle
Australian acting great Carmen Duncan lost her battle with cancer on Sunday. She was 76.
Duncan had an acting career that spanned more than four decades and was an integral part of the early days of Australian television, starring in Hunter, Number 96, Skyways, A Country Practice, Homicide, All Saints and the Flying Doctors.
Duncan also broke through onto the international scene, starring as Iris Carrington Wheeler in the long-running TV soap Another World!, which was watched by 90 million people around the world each week.
Duncan's career also included films such as 1980's Harlequin and 1982's Turkey Shoot.
