heat + dogs

I love my dog! But I would never walk her on a very hot day on pavements or roads when the heat could blister her paws.

I see so many people walking their dogs and feel so compelled to ask them if they would walk bare foot on the hot pavement.

Do others feel the same way?

Agreed bj, and also the dogs shouldn't be locked in cars on hot days.

I am an animal lover do not own a dog . Wish I did . You can report to the plice or RSPCA if you see  s distressed  dog in the car. We never leave our cat out in the heat .Only let hime out in the late evenings for a run around. Animals need to be cxared for no matther what creature you own

Yes BJ,  I am with you 100% and anytime you walk them you need to have water for them -- and also make sure it is COOL -- people just don't seem to think outside the box, do they! -- same as walking on HOT sand and or in a park where there are bindis or such you really have to be prepared just like you would with a child.

As far as leaving in a car even on a winters day is criminal -- it gets darn hot in a locked car anytime.

People don't be cruel, do not walk your dogs on the hot pavement. Walk on the verge with your animals or wait for the cool of the evening.
