HELP WANTED WITH PHOTOS PLEASE

I have inherited a digital camera from my grandaughter, and have managed to download the photos, but I can't seem to send them as an attachment in an email. Whenever I go to "insert" it prints the photo in the body of the email which is very frustrating.

Also be very aware that sending that way will send the photos at a VERY large size--better to use the software the camera came with to reduce them--or use a system such as Picasa--a very good program -- to reduce them. I know that I dread ir when people send me photos which have not been reduced.--they over fill the screen and can not be veiwed properly and take ages to download on dial up.

All depends what mail program you use.

With Outlook Express, instead of using "insert" , click on the "Attach" button - find the pics you wish to send etc.

This sends them as an attachment and not in the body of the email.

Plan B, I am on broadband. But I'm told because my computer is old, the photos will be too large for the screen, when sent by email. I transfer the photo to My Pictures, and they appear in normal size.

Might work for you, I'm certainly no expert, but might be worth a try.

Hi There

Thank you all for your assistance, "attach" worked. I didn't want to fall out with all my friends so I just haven't been able to forward any photos. Unfortunately my grandaughter lost the instruction booklet, so I'm sort of flying blind.
