Is New Zealand happier than Australia?
Australia is ranked inside the top 10 when it comes to the happiest countries on the planet.
That is great news, but there is a sting in the tail, because Australia is still ranked below our trans-Tasman neighbours - New Zealand.
According to the World Happiness Report 2017 produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Norway is the world’s happiest country ahead of Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and Finland.
New Zealand comes in at eighth on the list ahead of Australia in ninth.
Countries in sub-Saharan Africa, along with Syria and Yemen, are the least happy of the 155 countries ranked in the fifth annual report released at the United Nations.
The rankings are based on six factors - per capita gross domestic product, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, social support and absence of corruption in government or business.
Would you be happier if you lived in New Zealand?
In a nutshell Ben..if one is negative and can't ever see the rainbow at the end of the storm..then they won't be happier in New Zealand or anywhere else..
"Happiness"..in my opinion comes from within and if one looks after the "within" then they can be happy anywhere...
