When I read about it, this 19 year old woman  was convicted of public mischief

A district court in the town of Paralimni ruled the woman, who cannot be named, had falsely claimed to have been sexually abused by 12 Israeli teenagers in a hotel room.

Is there more to the story ???

Reading the articles about this seems to me a case of justice gone wrong. The boys weren't even interviewed. The girl sustained injuries to intimate parts. She was deemed guilty by the authorities from the start after she went to the police immediately after the attack. The bruises on her shoulders from being restrained by being knelt on whilst being attacked should have been a clue, but not apparently in Cyprus. Yes there is more to the story.

be careful this criticism borders on the antisematic.

Celia you might like to ask the parents of the Lebanese teenaged boys who went on a rape rampage in Australia a few years ago what they felt about what their child had done! This is not unique to Jewish men.

I don't care what Religion or what Country the young boys come from. They raped this woman and now it appears they will get away with this crime and she gets jail time for reporting it to police. The whole story is a bit strange. I hope the boys get time behind bars as would happen elsewhere in the world.

Absolutely disgusting that the girl should be placed in jail and the boys get away with it !
They should be doing time for what is a major Crime and not getting even interviewed for it !
I know if I was the parent of this girl I would be taking matters into my own hands instead of letting them get away with this

little A/Holes they should rightly be in jail serving time if this was done in a civilised counrty and not one that thinks men are more inportant than females !
