Senator Burston has launched legal action against Mr Ashby for allegedly leaking to Sky News the “damaging revelation” that he was having a rectal examination when the party discussed its company tax stance.

In a letter to Mr Ashby, widely circulated on social media, Senator Burston asks for compensation “for the injury to my privacy and reputation”.

Seems Hansen has always been a very bad picker of character.

Yeah I know what you mean PlanB, Tony Abbott did the dirty on Ashby too by the end of the Peter Slipper saga.  I always thought that's why he teamed up with Pauline, both out for revenge on Abbott, and then Pauline goes and cozies up to him.

And she wonders why she loses so many people, brings on the tears about their disloyalty even.  I wonder if at some point she might stop and think, 'What or who is the common demoninator here?'  Probably never gonna happen.

Curious about where Peter Slipper is now after that awful fall from grace, I looked him up

Former federal speaker Peter Slipper, who stood down amid allegations at the time he had defrauded the Commonwealth and sexually harassed a staffer, will soon be practicing law in Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Law Society has granted Mr Slipper a practicing certificate to work as a barrister in the state.
