Kate's review of Green Soups

I was initially misled by the title of this book, Green Soups, but as it turns out, in a good way. Author Fern Green (hence the title), puts together an amazing little book of soups that are a broad spectrum of colours.

Green Soups is part of Hachette’s Healthy Living Series, which are stylish, compact recipe books chock full of recipes and useful information. The photos are functional and modern, with clear pictures of the ingredients required.

The soups are all vegetable soups, with either a vegetable, chicken or beef broth base. Conveniently, all of the recipes make enough for two servings. I find this more manageable than having litres of uneaten soup leftover to get lost in my tiny overcrowded freezer.

Green Soups is a user-friendly guide for having a soup detox, providing 5-day plans for skin health, stress-reduction, energy-boosting and aiding digestion. While many of the recipes err on the uber-healthy side, they are undoubtedly beneficial for your health and well worth incorporating into your diet.
