Kristina Keneally is at it again

Kristina Keneally says that ramped up immigration is necessary to change Australian culture.[Click for link]

Why?  What is wrong with it?

What would Kristina know about Australian culture anyhow?  That is, of Australian culture outside of the confines of the political elite of inner-city Sydney and Melbourne.

Keneally is also pushing the 'Big Australia' of the failed Rudd government.

But taking 'cultural change' first and foremost, exactly what does Keneally mean by it, how is it measured and since when was 'cultural change' a key aim of immigration

It is left-wing social engineering.  What government or political party, including Labor, has ever sought a mandate for that?

I think Ms Keneally is more right than wrong. I am the offspring of immigrants and was bought up in the bi-partisan policy era of 'populate or perish' (as well as the now discarded 'White Australia Policy'). Maybe the reason immigration is not an election issue by the major parties is that it is still a bi-partisan policy. It is only the ratbag facsist right wing populists that decry immigration.

Whilst arriving at the airport 3 hours before departure I pondered "how have we got to this". I told myself that this considerable inconvenience was a result of terrorist acts from people who we took in and provided with the necessities of life. I recently attended a meeting with the Minister for Border Protection who told the meeting " Of the last 15 terrorist attacks in Australia I can confirm that 14 were by Muslims. I can't speak about the 15th because it is before the courts".

I don't necessarily support a move back to The White Australia policy, but we need to be very selective as to who we allow to become citizens of this very generous country.

The woman is an idiot. We should end ALL immigration NOW, and encourage certain groups to leave (Muslims, Chinese, Indians and Africans). Immigration - particularly from third-world countries - is ruining our once-great nation.

and idiots. When are you going?

Oh what a bunch of nasty narrow minded comments. I read the piece and there is nothing wrong with it. Others have said the same thing that we need immigration for the economy. Most of you I’m guessing are not Aboriginal so therefore immigrants or their descendants.

The national anthem should change to be more inclusive and we have such a song which is The Seekers, “We are Australian,” a much loved and celebrated song.

People still struggle with an ‘us’ and ‘them’ mentality. It is a global world and should be more inclusive and not so nationalistic. We travel, we hear news from afar as though it is around the corner, we should be able to receive and understand everyone.

What do you feel when you see the poor little mites in third world countries or war torn places? Is it someone else’s problem or it is a global one?

Is kindness to be labelled as communism? Is the New Zealand’s prime minister a communist? People’s ideas need to be progressive and open minded.

What is Australian culture anyway? It is everything. It is the total mix of the world we have created here and it is about the Chinese and the Greeks and the English and all the different religions. It is not a narrow white blinkered place. It is Aboriginal, it is black, it is brown, it is even white but never just white.

NZ PM Jacinda Ardern was elected with a mandate to tighten immigration rules and to reduce the overall number (and of Chinese in particular who are gaming low-value courses for 'backdoor immigration)[click for link]

Quoted as supporting Jacinda Adern's restrictions was 'Naisi Chen, who was born is Bejing and is one of Labour's two Chinese candidates, defended Ardern's policy, saying it was about identifying the needs of the nation..'

Contrast that with the recently arrived and 'Woke' Kristina Keneally, who has always supported an 'Open Door', no boundaries, where Australia is concerned and has declared that the aim of mass immigration is to change the culture of Australia.

Chalk and cheese one would have thought.

Now, back to the question, could someone please define:

- what is the 'diversity' that Kristine Keneally and Oz Labor see as one of the two goals of immigration (the other being a 'Big Australia'); and,

- secondly, specifically, what is so bad about Australians and their culture that Australians and their culture are so abhorrent to Labor's inner-urban 'Woke' 'Progressives' that social reengineering is required, necessary and urgent, to destroy both?

LJ, that's not an easy question to answer? We'll see how hard Kristina Keneally fights for the Medevac Law.

By the way is Kristina still a Catholic?

Kristina Keneally and Penny Wong are a pigeon pair, Heckle and Jeckle.   Immediately out of depth and floundering outside of their mantras.  Both are destined to waste the Senate's time with their foolish posturing.

It only took one or two affirmative action womyn like that to wipe out Don Chipp's Democrats.  Watch out, Albo!

Not that the media would ever have the wit or guts to ask a few testing questions of these frauds.  Honestly, why would the many women with records of real achievement behind them ever seek preselection when factions give the leg-up to these hollow people?

More like a couple of attack dogs.

Labor already know who will take Labor to the next election and I'm guessing it will not be Albo.

You don’t “change a culture” as Keneally suggests. You ADD to it. So she’s going up against Dutton, although he is not my fav person, she won’t be able to handle him.  One minute she is all for boats arriving by the dozen, now she’s all for boat turnbacks. This woman is a mixed bag, studied political science yet wrote her master’s in theology. Looks for inspiration in liberation theology, the Marxist-inspired, radical Catholic movement. Poor Albo,I feel sorry for the guy having her on his front bench.

No wonder Scott Morrison is looking so pleased with himself, he gets a pay rise of $11,000 on the same day 700,00 workers lose penalty rates.  At least N.Z. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern shuns a $12K pay rise and freezes pollies pays for one year.  No wonder he said "Isn't Australia great" blinking hypocrit. He would have earned more respect if he had halted a pay rise as well.

He would be more pleased if he got the rise which some Public Servants got. Its odd that public outrage  reaches an unacceptable din at about $500k for a PM but $5.6M (Australia Post) for other Public Servants. Australia's Senior Public Servants are the highest paid of any developed country according to the OECD. Are they  building an empire under our noses?

It started with Rudd giving his mate the CEO position at Australia Post .... and the salary was higher when Ahmed Fahour was appointed... in the year his departing home pay was $10.8 million for that year.... unbelievable !!!!

Suze, Gosh!! I think 2% of that would be $216,000. I can see why he resigned. It would be very difficult to justify a 2% pay rise to the many contracted parcel delivery workers who wouldnt take home a minimum wage after the expense of running their van.

Notice the look on their faces, these two plotters havve something up their sleevies and it not just their armies. Poor Albo, sure hope he isn't henpecked at home as well :( that's Albo on the far right

Albo should be very worried if he sees that look of contempt from Ms Keneally.  That is a very telling microexpression that was well caught by the photographer.  -Gillard similarly could not always mask her contempt for Kevin Rudd.  Nor could Keating where Hawke was concerned.  Contempt is far worse than dislike or anger.

The other one, in the middle, looks angry and put-out.  The sense of entitlement is strong in that one.

The Emilys' Listers cause more trouble for Labor than Get-Up.

I should have added that for more examples of revealing microexpressions, examine footage/photos of Turnbull when he is asked about the colleagues who dislodged him and that may even extend to the Liberal Party he once led.  Others might comment on that.

Nah Reagan, Albo has split from the lovely Carmel.

Those two have him at their mercy!

Has Albo met with anyone from GetUp?

He really needs to get around more and meet a few more people. And really listen, not just nod in aggreeance with everything they say.

He hasnt even met with the boss of the union which donated $1M to the Labor Party election campaign? I know its hard to be on the road while back home the white ants are chewing away at the house's foundations, but he needs to get some support from somewhere.

do not think any love lost beween  KK and P Wong.  as for a big Australia....how damn big?  We cannot cope in Sydney and Melbourne as it is...does KK want us to end up like China?

we need immigration but it has to be orderly and we need people who are going to work not go onto welfare!

I’m nobody’s girl
