Looking back over the years.
Six actors from The Bill reunited this week to publicize the imminent re-run of the show from the very beginning on UK Drama
Do any of you remember Bonanza the tv programme?
We could use this section of the Threads to chat..
A letter from the Queen to one of her most trusted confidantes — Lady (Henriette) Abel Smith, a lady-in-waiting — has just been unearthed, written after Diana's death in Paris.
Not mad about the queen, and I remember long before bonanza
Am I seeing double, I thought the birdwatcher used to be Reagan.!!!! or is he transgendering.?
HaHaaah!
Good one HOLA ????
Those were my thoughts about Regan too ????
MIchael Landon also died young aged 54
The farm life sure did not do much for them
Reagan has suddenly vanished off this Thread!
I think the Web Master must have been called in to clean up a few Threads Hola.
Attila
Reagan is now Suze .. LOL
As HOLA points out
The statement "Not mad about the queen, and I remember long before bonanza" above was made by Reagan ????
It's all right Hola, I am not "transgendering" but last night the Suze above who we all believe to be Abby, decided to change her avatar to Fleur (Thea) avatar and also her username.
If Suze can play games, I can too.I'm back to wearing my twitcher's cap

Methinks the moderator has better things to do than to come in to "clean" up your thread Attila.
Keep looking back over the years ladies, me off to play some golf. See ya!!!!!
Don't worry Suze Reagan is Micha and is playing games all over the site in various avatars
Oh so he is not Ben Hurr after all then Brocky.
And Reagan is now the Gravey Boat?
Or is he Bisto?
I don't normally read your threads Attila...but was told about the above entry..
I would be very careful Attila before jumping on the hearsay wagon...we have already established Reagan nor Micha is not Gravey...
May I remind you none of us are the names we say on our avatars...EVEN YOU..and there are no restrictions about changing our avatar names as far as I know...
Attila..people in glass houses should never throw stones....you of all people should know that...perhaps this video might just apply to yourself...the one where you are laughing at Reagan?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uSTOHa4Im4
People who enjoy throwing smut at others..should not be surprised when a whole lot is thrown back at them...
Enjoy your weekend....
And I am not Mitcha Thea...........
You really are a bossy boots these days.
I won't be around for long!
It was your dear friend "Brocky" who said you were "Micha"...here is his post apologising...
Brocky
1 hr agoAtilla Cats says I owe you an apology. I concur ..I won't go into details on here because it will bring on more argument .
I apologise .
If being a "bossy boots" means being straightforward and honest...then please make me the Queen of Bossy Boots...
you just love causing dissension dont you Thea.
Give it a rest please
I think we should all give it a rest Attila....and just for the record...I am not Cranky....
Putting baits out are we little girl?
Just ignore the shit Atilla
on another thread Reagan/Thea accused me of being you
He's just one sick little worm
We loved Bonanza as kids. Parents never had a t.v. and a neighbour invited the family over every Friday night to watch. My favourite character was Hoss. He had a kind face. I remember reading that he died at an early age,43, after suffering complications of Gall Bladder surgery. I think the whole cast have ridden off into the sunset by now.
What happened to the cast of Bonanza.

I looked up the Bonanza thread and it was interesting to see in the cast of names, there was not one female mentioned.
Does anyone remember 77 Sunset Strip?

Stu and Jeff worked out of an office located at 77 Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, right next door to a snazzy restaurant where Kookie worked as a valet. The finger-snapping, slang-talking Kookie occasionally helped Stu and Jeff with their cases, and eventually became a full-fledged member of the detective agency. Rex Randolph and J.R. Hale also joined the firm, and Suzanne was their leggy secretary.

MAVERICK! Was one of my favourites....back in the '60s
https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Maverick+Tv+Series&FORM=VRIBRE
Maverick TV Series Bret and Bart Maverick (and in later seasons, their English cousin, Beau) are well dressed gamblers who migrate from town to town always looking for a good game. Poker (5 card draw) is their favorite but they've been known to play such odd card games Three-toed Sloth on occasion. The show would occasionally feature both or all three Mavericks, but usually would rotate the central character from week to week.
James Garner
James Garner was one of my favourite actors, so handsome. When I was growing up and still a teenager we had a neighbour who looked just like him, when I walked past he'd always give a wink and I always blushed.
Some of his movies were entertaining!
I enjoyed the movies back then, cannot say the movies of today are that entertaining really.
I go to relax not be uptight and worried!
I see Calamity Jane is making a retun with Doris Day Hola.
That was a hoot of a film! LOL
I want to go and See 'Victoria and Abdul' when it comes to our neck of the woods.
I like historical movies do you Hola? Apparently the release date for that movie is 14th September.
My Sister saw Dunkirk the other day, she said it was good but she said it was so loud . I am looking forward to seeing Victoria and Abdul when it comes our way.
It's a sweet film. I saw it in Durham, UK recently. It made me like Indians even more.
Hola has asked me to post this for her...enjoy it is brilliant!
1950's version of an E-Mail
I have no idea who put this together, but it is wonderful!
Long ago and far away, in a land that time forgot,
Before the days of Dylan , or the dawn of Camelot.
There lived a race of innocents, and they were you and me,
For Ike was in the White House in that land where we were born, where navels were for oranges, and Peyton Place was porn.
We longed for love and romance, and waited for our Prince, Eddie Fisher married Liz, and no one's seen him since.
We danced to 'Little Darlin,' and sang to 'Stagger Lee'
And cried for Buddy Holly in the Land That Made Me, Me.
Only girls wore earrings then, and 3 was one too many,
And only boys wore flat-top cuts, except for Jean McKinney.
And only in our wildest dreams did we expect to see
A boy named George with Lipstick, in the Land That Made Me, Me.
We fell for Frankie Avalon, Annette was oh, so nice,
And when they made a movie, they never made it twice.
We didn't have a Star Trek Five, or Psycho Two and Three, or Rocky-Rambo Twenty in the Land That Made Me, Me.
Miss Kitty had a heart of gold, and Chester had a limp,
And Reagan was a Democrat whose co-star was a chimp.
We had a Mr. Wizard, but not a Mr. T,
And Oprah couldn't talk yet, in the Land That Made Me, Me.
We had our share of heroes, we never thought they'd go,
At least not Bobby Darin, or Marilyn Monroe.
For youth was still eternal, and life was yet to be,
And Elvis was forever in the Land That Made Me, Me.
We'd never seen the rock band that was Grateful to be Dead, and Airplanes weren't named Jefferson , and Zeppelins were not Led
And Beatles lived in gardens then, and Monkees lived in trees, Madonna was Mary in the Land That Made Me, Me.
We'd never heard of microwaves, or telephones in cars,
And babies might be bottle-fed, but they were not grown in jars.
And pumping iron got wrinkles out, and 'gay' meant fancy-free, and dorms were never co-Ed in the Land That Made Me, Me.
We hadn't seen enough of jets to talk about the lag,
And microchips were what was left at the bottom of the bag.
And hardware was a box of nails, and bytes came from a flea, and rocket ships were fiction in the Land That Made Me, Me.
T-Birds came with portholes, and side shows came with freaks, and bathing suits came big enough to cover both your cheeks.
And Coke came just in bottles, and skirts below the knee,
And Castro came to power near the Land That Made Me, Me.
We had no Crest with Fluoride, we had no Hill Street Blues, we had no patterned pantyhose or Lipton herbal tea or prime-time ads for those dysfunctions in the Land That Made Me, Me.
There were no golden arches, no Perrier to chill,
And fish were not called Wanda, and cats were not called Bill
And middle-aged was 35 and old was forty-three,
And ancient were our parents in the Land That Made Me, Me.
But all things have a season, or so we've heard them say,
And now instead of Maybelline we swear by Retin-A.
They send us invitations to join AARP,
We've come a long way, baby, from the Land That Made Me, Me.
So now we face a brave new world in slightly larger jeans,
And wonder why they're using smaller print in magazines.
And we tell our children's children of the way it used to be, Long ago and far away in the Land That Made Me, Me.
If you didn't grow up in the fiftys,
You missed the greatest time in history,
Thanks for doing that Attila - wish I knew how to copy .
Yes 50's 60's and 70's were the best times for me and I'm sure for a lot of other folk.
Yes I was born in 42 I remember Rock around the clock coming out when I was 13 the beginning of everything
Atilla
I am personally sorry that you have been subject to abuse by Thea and her family. You are one of a good group of great people on here.
I hope you stay and continue posting your interesting articles
Thea - reported for harassment
How dare you continually harass and lecture Atilla on how she feels about disability. She is the one living with it 24x7.
Youre disgusting
I have already reported you Raphael for harassing me because I put up a quotation on the Revival thread which had NOTHING to do with Attila or anyone else...
Well done Thea. I have had cause to do the same tonight.
Thanks Raphael, but it is best to ignore such childish behavour.
We will be overseas soon for a long duration.
So I am not perturbed about the 'kiddies' it is water over a duck's back as the saying goes. I can only suppose that the Mob is approved by the Publisher of this site as it continues for such a long duration. If it were my site it would concern me that I was losing a percentage of followers, I am sure this site could have a bigger following if it wasn't for such childish behavour, it doesn't come over as cost efficient to me.
No wonder Cats said what she did, it is just lack of consideration and good manners as far as I am concerned.
The Thread is 'Looking Back in Time' , time gone by I can remember when younger people used to get up and give seniors a seat on public transport and had good manners.
It certainly is not the norm anymore, good manners for our elders seems to have totally vanished.
Never look back over the years. Keep moving forward but stop occasionally to have a vodka or two and a dance with the ladies. If female, keep the fires warming for your man.
i have just come across that sketch that was put up to me, of the cat in the washing machine, RULES forbid me from saying what i think about your entire clan, the lot of you, are the lowest of the low, believe me when i say this, you will pay dearly for that one, you low, moronic , evil indivduals,
Movie that made the world fall in love with ELVIS: 40 years after he died, a very revealing insight into the star's screen debut Love Me Tender
Movie that made the world fall in love with Elvis"
There had never been a star with a trajectory like Elvis Presley's before and Hollywood took note, eager to cash in on the boy wonder before his popularity waned. Had Elvis never existed, the film Love Me Tender(pictured) would still have been made. But it wouldn't have been called Love Me Tender, and it wouldn't have had that song in it - or, for that matter, any other songs. That being so, in all probability, neither you nor I would ever have heard of it.
