Looking for tips on long flights!

Hi, I would love to hear any tips for those awful long flights.

When I was younger I used to arrive 'ill' so not really looking forward to it now old age has set in.

Any tips/hints.

I would say wear comfortable clothes and footwear / don't drink alcohol / drink water / try and sleep in the normal time / try and do a little exercise /

Hello, I have just returned from Canada/Alaska/San Francisco and luckily the long haul sections were at night so after a small meal I was able to sleep for some hours. I only eat a small part of the meals served, avoid alcohol tho' occasionally I have one drink and try to walk around the plane before going to sleep and when I wake up.

I used to wear the inflight stockings but find them too hot so do foot exercises and I always get a window seat so I can lean against it for sleeping. I do a lot of reading, never watch the inflight entertainment and wear ear plugs for most of the trip to cut out noise. Comfortable clothing is a must.

Not much else I can offer. The long hauls are the worst part of travelling overseas and made worse if you are travelling alone like I do. Have a wonderful trip.

Hello All.

A study taken just recently said that it is safer to take your own water on board.

That's because there is a good chance airline water is contaminated.

Or accept the bottled water when offered.

Best wishes.
