Microwave with light door for older person to open and close

Any suggestions. A very basic microwave is being sought, but one that has a light door given weakness in wrists thus unable to open or close anything too heavy.

Thanks,

Belinda

Hi Belinda..

It may be difficult for someone to make a suggestion since everyone's wrist strength is different..

I know Panasonic has a few basic push button types..but if you could get to a store and try some of the appliances that might be better..

Both myself and my kids have newish Panasonic Genius 1100W NN-ST671S 32L mid-size microwave ovens ... lightweight, works fine for us.

I have got a Panasonic too, NN-ST641W 1100W my third Panasonic since 1980, compared to others which have  dials these with just push buttons, even to open the door, makes it very easy with arthritic hands.

Problem is I am disabled and can't drive or walk unaided and trying to help mum who is in similar position, actually I'm worse. Thank you for the info, will look it up.
