Pensioner Free Travel Voucher (Victoria)
Maybe I haven't been sufficiently observant to notice this in the past but I have, today, received my replacement Pension Concession Card to cover not just the next ONE year but TWO years. i.e. valid until February 2019.
All very well and good.
I recall that previous cards were issued from year to year with free travel vouchers attached for each of those years. I acknowledge that the travel vouchers were being supplied by the Victorian Government
I see that the card I just received, valid for TWO years, has only ONE set of travel vouchers...NOT TWO.
If I read the situation correctly, I am being deprived of one year's free travel (for which I am, nonetheless appreciative).
Any thoughts on this matter ?
Cheers.
The Department of Human Services (VIC) site is still saying:
Each year, Victorian Seniors cardholders will be mailed off-peak travel vouchers (two for metropolitan seniors and four for regional seniors) which can be exchanged for tickets.
At the end of the section it says: Request more information about this topic. By following that link I found … Concessions Help Line 1800 658 521.
Maybe you could give them a call to check.
