Police are investigating a suspicious bushfire in Perth’s northern suburbs that came close to houses this morning.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire looked to have burnt through about 3.5 hectares of bushland in Butler.

My concern is when will the money donated actually be distributed ? As far as I’m aware some of the victims of the last bush fires in the east are still waiting for “ help” As the .?? decided to hang on to the money so they could get the interest

It is heartbreaking and a despicable thing to have these scum lighting the fires --- and IMO if they do this then the punishment to them should be them thrown into the fire and let them have a real taste of what they are doing--

The fires came close to me last year but I can only imagine how it would be -- and I really feel for them

I gave donations last year and it has NOT gone where it was supposed to go. Also, that lady that raised millions -- also never when where she wanted it to go -- makes one wonder about donating again
