Pot now legal in Canada
Marijuana was decriminalised in Canada this week, making it only the second country to legalise the drug.
On Wednesday, a spokesman for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted that the day marked the end of “the failed prohibition of marijuana” in Canada, and that legalisation would take power from organised crime and prevent young people from obtaining the drug.
The long queues waiting for the government-run pot stores to open their doors consisted mostly of white men in their 50s and older, according to The Washington Post.
One man told the paper’s reporter that: “People see it as a glass of wine kind of thing, at least in Montreal.”
He added that his wife had used sometimes dubious black-market cannabis for her fibromyalgia pain, and they were both happy that from now on they could depend on the quality of the weed.
While most had expected at least a 50 per cent increase over street prices, in Quebec it was selling for below black-market prices.
Would you buy marijuana if it became legal in Australia?
Ha Ha this is really not funny but I have to laugh at the stupidity of life today.
Here they are legalizing what is or was once so very awful!!!!
Meanwhile they have demonized the pain relief we all had for years without any harm if taken correctly.
And therein lies the tale of today's mad lot in power or able to do this to us. And dont be fooled its both or all of the parties in government who have allowed this.
Can get no more than 2 codeine pills a day from a GP.
Or so mine told me when I went for usual script back in March.
I am still getting 4 plain Codiene 30mg tabs but not enough, as was for night time.
Whilst daytime was 8 Panadeine Forte which kept me walking pain bearable not free. Loss of these are what is making me cranky to live with.
All because a few misuse these legal drugs.
So they punish everyone for the few who do.
Isnt that typical of today?
So yes I may well give this a try if and when legal and I can get it.
