Put on weight and attract men!
I love this ad from the 1950s. It encourages women to take yeast so they will be have more curves and attract more men!
How things have changed now.

In Eastern countries, buxom women are considered very attractive. Personally, I like my belly dancers with a little less belly!
Reagan - What are you telling me now? Here I am cycling my butt off and you say Eastern countries like buxom women. I think I'll give up and start eating again.
Looks are only skin deep, it's a pity people can't look beyond the cover of others... we all come into the world the same way and will all exit it accordingly... Just my opinion..
Deanna - You're right there. We come into this world with nothing, and we go out with nothing.
Walking through Harrods some years ago. I was somewhat perturbed by the arabs staring at me and nodding their heads...It rather unnerved me, my brother explained.. "They worship blonde, blue eyed beautiful women'.. I felt quite chuffed until he continued " especially those that aren't skinny, as they appreciate their women like they do their gold .the more the weight , the more the value...:(
I haven't forgiven him yet...lol
Cranky - There's nothing wrong with having a little extra weight on, all the more the cuddle. My husband loved buxom women especially Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida, he thought they looked perfect.
I always knew I was born in the wrong era!
Im just a mear male so I just take it all in!!!!
The woman in the pic is not fat. Same old image stuff then as now. The message is that women have to "be perfect" for men. Not good enough to be alive in the world in a body that functions in so many miraculous ways.
WOmen should not be fat
neither should men
Pleasantly plump is not fat Raphael.
I am saving a bit to spare for a rainy day.... :)
more cushion for the pushin'
nah - i prefer my women with no blubber
Yes Raphael. I can see you have been waiting a while...lol

They certainly have changed, aided and abetted by the fashion industry IMO.
Some of these models look just awful and worrying.
