Real good news

Today’s figures showed continuing growth in the number of employed people —

Over the year ending in January, the number of employed people grew by almost 400,000 and 74 per cent of the jobs were full-time. So much for all that chatter about the gig economy and the runaway growth of part-time, casual work.

The unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5 per cent — but this was against a backdrop of the highest rate of female labour-force participation ever recorded at 60.5 per cent, and the highest rate of overall participation of 65.6 per cent since February 2011. The strength of the labour market is encouraging more people to enter the jobs market either to take a job or seek employment.

There is absolutely no doubt about it. When the government backs business those businesses grow and that growth creates more jobs. People are now wondering why this simple concept is so difficult for a Shorten Labor party to understand.

The Labor Party cut company tax when it was in government between 1983 and 1996.

At the 2010 election, the Gillard Labor government promised to cut company tax if re-elected.

When in government, senior members of the Labor Party including Bill Shorten made the same sorts of arguments that the current Government is making about company tax cuts: that they boost investment and job creation and make Australia competitive with other nations.

ABC Fact Check

I know this is slightly off topic, but I cannot stop wondering why Labor has become a party hell bent on destruction? They dont seem to stand for anything anymore, their policies can change from week to week? I wonder why the hypocracy is now rampant?

The only possible explanation is, as we saw with Sam Dastyari, they are selling out to the highest bidder?? It's the only plausible explanation??

when Bill Shorten was the Assistant Treasurer he supported a lower tax rate for employers:

“The Government's tax reform agenda has a strong focus on ensuring that Australia remains an attractive place to invest…. Cutting the company tax rate is an important step along this road. This recognises the benefits to investment and growth from lower company tax rates and a trend to lower rates across the OECD over the past 30 years.” (Address to the Institute of Chartered Accountants – 6 April 2011)

And when Bill Shorten was Minister for Financial Services and Superannuation he said:

“Any student of Australian business and economic history since the mid-80s knows that part of Australia’s success was derived through the reduction in the company tax rate.” (Sky News - 13 March 2012)

When he was Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten even stated that:

“Cutting the company income tax rate increases domestic productivity and domestic investment. More capital means higher productivity and economic growth and leads to more jobs and higher wages.” (House of Representatives, 2011)

Shorten is a hypocrite and the public are onto him .

Turnbull remains ahead of the Labor leader Bill Shorten on Newspoll’s preferred prime minister measure, 45% to 31%, which is a four-point boost for the prime minister since the last poll.

Newspoll Feb 5 2018

12 months until the next election .

wonder who will be leading the Labor party .

Last year due to government policy like business tax cuts and industrial relations measures there were 1,100 jobs created every day – the strongest calendar year of jobs growth ever recorded

. Everyone who wants a job seems to be getting one:  even Sam Dastyari seems to have found one.

BS, provide stats !!!!!!!!

Provide references!!!

Do not  copy and paste everything!!!

I realise you are a child but try reading the original post sonny and don’t argue with adults .

Was it sent from your iPad???

Unfortunately we have many Australians that are allergic to work ...suppose they will classify for the Disability Pension

With over a 1000 jobs a day being created yet our u employment rate remains at around 5 per cent who Re They it seems as if those immigrants without English refugees and Aboriginals takeup a good proportion .
