receiving an amount of money from the UK

My Sister in the UK wants to send me $3400 to purchase airline tickets to visit her via western union

Iam concerned that my aged pension will be affected I live in public housing with no assets of much value, I have a small amount in my bank and my wife has a special benefit each fortnight we cant have more than $5000 in our account

Can i go ahead to transfer this amount to my Bank account it will be deposited and drawn out so no interest would be paid

Iam not sure if this transfer of cash is within the rules getting through to Centerlink is so very difficult Maybe someone can advise me

Once it goes through your bank, you're done fer! Have them send it to me and I'll pass it on to you, or, you can just ask them to send you a ticket.

Thank you Micha for your comment if it was that simple!! cheers anyway thanks for posting

If you happen to take a trip to Brick Lane, E London dolbt60, have a bagel and hot salt beef sandwich for me.

Have a great trip!

All good, in and out within 14 days won't need have any impact.

Thanks very much Mcdaddy for your help

I don't think any gift is counted and as you will be spending it as son as you get it -- I am sure all will be OK --

Many thanks  Plan B appreciated

Yes PlanB and McDaddy are right

Also for $3,400, you should be able to buy business class tickets with a couple of stops on the way. Enjoy !

Cheers Olbaid

it would be terrific but my Wife and myself are travelling together
