Relocating Information

I am nearing the last stage in my life and made the decision to relocate from Melbourne to the Gold Coast. I arrived 31st. March. I was so tired of catering to four adult grandchildren who were uncaring, inconsiderate, ungrateful and more! I sold my home, did all the packing and cleaning etc, but had no idea where to start finding a truck to take all my furniture etc. All the ones I contacted online wanted to know measurements and quantity and other questions I didn't understand. My mind still wants to work in feet and inches. By sheer chance, I was referred to a Qld. company. I couldn't believe my luck. The company is a family business and the lady who answers the phone and emails was my 'angel'. She immediately put my mind at rest and assured me I would be looked after. I had already packed the majority of boxes plus what furniture I would be taking and paintings, mirrors which would need taking off the walls. She asked me what date I needed and she gave me a quote which was way below what others had quoted. She stayed in contact with me all the time and assured me if I had more questions, she would be there for me. The pickup went without a hitch and is in storage here for when I need it. I'm sure she won't mind me saying the company is Aawun Furniture Transport www.aawun.com.au 'phone 07 54458840.

It is always nice to read "things turned out well" for people.

Thank you Sweetpea.

Once we make the decision to move, and not just think about it, probably over and over, it feels good, and when it works out well, feels even better.

You have so much to look forward to. Please keep in touch as we love everyone's posts.

Take care and may happiness be your destiny.

That's great Sweet Pea .....I hope you like it up there.

I always give credit to good service and rip into those who don't.

Seggie. Hi Sweetpea. Keep well and warm up there. Thanks for the info. on the moving company.  A big mistake (and guess who was the idiot) was to label every box with its contents. What should have been done was to number the boxes and the room it had to go in.  Yes, I'm the fool. I should have kept a book in my handbag of the numbers of the boxes and contents. Call me stupid and yes, I admit it but it was a horrible time of my life and the brain definitely wasn't working. It's so easy to be wise in hindsight but I've learned my lesson now.
