R.I.P. Doris Day. What a wonderful entertainer. She would be one of my favourite actors. Never heard a nasty word about 

her. 

Yes I always liked her and her films, she was a lovely looking woman and also had a lovely voice and it appears even into her old age was still very attractive

Loved all her films and they were all films where you could take the family. Why do we have so many violent films on TV and Screen today? Haven't they got any imagination? Got to 97 and still looks georgeous. My Maria and I will be in that age range in a few short years and if I'm still in excellent health I want to make 100 plus. Not so with Maria who worries about going into a Nursing Home. I'm from a long lived line of Celts with quite a few going over the 100 and many more going close. No one has had to go into care except my Father with a missed diagnosis. It's a shame that in the latter part of our lives we have this worry about what will happen to us and do I have enough money to afford the care. It just shouldn't be this way.

So sad today! So many memories tied up with my dear mother whose birthday it is tomorrow. I remember going on the tram with my mum to see all her movies as soon as they came out. Very emotional today about this. Such a beauty and so very talented! Need to watch her movies and listen to her songs today....

I hope we get to see a few of her movies on television as a tribute to a wonderful star.  I remember seeing many of her movies when I was young.   Loved her.

Loved Doris Day..so did my Mum. According to my mother whenever she heard Doris sing it was as if rays of sunshine filled the room. Her favourite flowers were daisies. Rest in Peace beautiful lady.

she was not one of my favourites,  im afraid,     im not into romantic mush,   so her films with ROCK HUDSON did nothing for me,    but hubby liked her,      one song i really detested was ;SECRET LOVE'     and hubby would put it on to annoy me,    that said,    she didnt have it easy,   as al her husbands, [i think 3]    took advantage of her,    and got at her money,   i dont think she had a very happy life,      one of her sons,  [adopted from her marriage to MARTY MULCHER.     [i think]      was somehow involved with the MANSON KILLINGS,     i cant remember what it was now,     but still sad to see her go,  she had a long life,  and worked with animals,      she did have a lot of fans,    R,I,P,  DORIS DAY,
