Rooibos tea

I wondered if any of you drink Rooibos tea - I discovered it last year and now drink it regularly. It is supposed to have very good antioxidant properties - and it also tastes delicious. You can get it from health food stores and some supermarkets. I also drink Dr red's Spearole tea, also available from helath food stores or you can buy it online;when I bought it online they charged no postage. It is a loose-leaf tea and tastes very minty, you do need a sweetener with it(you can use sugar but I use stevia, a natural sugar substitute with no harmful carcinogens).
I would drink at least a total of 3-5 cups of tea a day and maybe one cup of coffee.

Thats a new one.David. Is it an Aussie product? Having tred some other types of tea. I have come back to Bushells.

Tried all the Green Variety , but didnt like them.

Is this one sold at the Supermarket or only at the health food shop.

I ask, as where i am at present there is no health food shop.

Regards

Charlee.

I am not a tea drinker--bt will tell my friend who drinks tea

It is great when we find something we really like...I have not tried Rooibos either but see it in the Supermarket and will buy a packet.

Bought a packet of Billy Tea the other day. Peter and I had one cup and threw the packet away :(

I have 20 (yes 20) packets of has to be RED Label Liptons tea in the pantry and unless we have a minimum of 10 packets I start to get the shakes as it almost feels like withdrawl lol.

Peter and I drink 3 packets every week = 7 big mugs each/every day but our only vice if you can call drinking tea a vice :)

Red Label Liptons is a bit more expensive but it is very strong and ever so yum.......lol

This will probably shock some, maybe most, but we have our spoonful of RED label Liptons tea straight into our mug and pour completely boiling water onto it then add a bit of sweetener and milk so no teapot and yes it works out fine, as we have been doing it for years lol.

Who says anyone has to conform anyway I ask?

All the best and enjoy the 86,400 seconds given us every single day as no credit!

Yes I have noticed that tea drinkers really do miss their cuppa--when my tea drinking friends arrive --the 1st thing they want is a cuppa--my dear Mother loved her tea and it had to be made--in a pot and the pot taken to the boiling kettle--and warmed b4--and she always liked a bone china cup and saucer and the milk had to be added to the cup b4 the tea--would never hear of a tea bag--and I did this for her till the day she died--when she becane unable to do it herself.

I think it is mainly sold in health food stores, but good supermarkets might have it.You could try Googling to see if anyone sells it online.

Hi, Ive been drinking Rooibos for 4 years now its a south african tea and rooibos means red tea so Im told. It certainly has no ill effects and you can use it for a lot of things. Its cafiene free and you can put it cakes coffee over your dinner whatever because its a pure product. I drink it as it comes, with hot water obviously but it loses none of its goodness if you take milk sugar etc. Iys a very nice drop I reckon.

David, my friend and I tried that tea over a year ago, both of us had dreadful headaches after it?? told the Naturopath who recommend it, and she found that odd!

I am the same as I have tried teas with no caffeine. Great for people who are not used to

caffeine and in fact better for us! but I have had 7 mugs every day of caffeinated tea for too many years.

Sounds a great drink for non addicts though I must say.

Gold Class - I haven't had any adverse reactions to it, quite the oposite, but possibly if a person is used to a regular caffeine intake, then going onto non-caffeine beverages might give you a headache temporarily?
