Salt Lamps U beauty - Maybe? lol

Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps

Scientific studies have shown that rock salt lamps can increase the negative ion count by up to 300% and excessive negative ions are essential for a positive mood and high energy. When warmed by the globe the rock salt generates a stream of negative ions which improves the air quality.

Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps remove odours from the air naturally, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Televisions, radios, computers, microwaves, transmitters all produce positive ions. Placing a Rock Salt Lamp nearby produces the negative ions required for good health. Using one at work will help to make you feel more energised.

Working under bright artificial light can make you feel tired, however the negative ions created by your lamp, balance this energy making you fell rejuvenated and energised.

Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps are also beneficial for people effected by arthritis, asthma, stress, insomnia, aches, fatigue, tiredness, migraines, headaches, hormonal imbalance, attention deficit disorder and poor concentration.

It is safe and beneficial to leave your lamp on at all times

..

Who knows but I am off to buy one for our Computer/Television room and another for the bedroom tomorrow.

Great fun :)

Back in the 60s or 70s, I recall there was a fad for something called ionisers.  They were a must have at the time, even in one's office.  I wonder if the salt lamps are similar.  Can't do any harm I guess.

Arrh yes I had three small Ionisers and a bigger Commercial one in the 70's. Were they the "be all and end all" well NO not really to be honest

..

Will the salt lamps be fantastic? probably not,  lol but we want a nice soft tele. light and so will probably be suckered in as we are wont to be :( and buy one for out bedroom  also, as Peter is having dreadful trouble breathing (sadly) so IF it helps even in a small way I will be happy.

Funnily I said to Peter we could probably put parts of it in the dishwasher if it gets dirty only to read and luckily I did, it would completely disintegrate. Well what a dill I would be it is after all a SALT LAMP lol.

Good luck with it.

Sounds interesting Phyl, will be interested in how you get on with it.  Keep us posted.

Scam.

I think scam too

Have some Mother-in-law's-tongue potplants in the house.  They purify the air and convert Julia Gillard's hated 'carbon dioxide pollution' into oxygen as a bonus.

That is not a scam and the plants, pots and potting mix are cheap.

Here you go,

We were at the place at 9 a.m. and just home with three  Lamps :0

One very large one for this room we have our computer and big tele. and another medium one for the bedroom and another medium one for the kitchen such fun.

Just switched them on so not sure how wonderful we will feel just yet :) Do not want to make you jealous Nautilus but our cats both seem to love the big one in here. Anytime now the aroma of the sea is going to permeate our senses. Joy of joy such a lovely day and they are SO pretty for not er too much money lol.

BTW Dr. Oz. says bananas and blueberries and hemp seeds (not for human consumption yet in Australia though) lol is the go to prevent Alzheimers. Wonderful news hey.

Be good or just a tad naughty but have a great day folks.

Interesting Phyl how much each and where did you find them?

Fed up with our lamp in TV lounge as they say it is harmful to our health - twily type supposed to use less but also although warm light - harsh.  Say LED better but also got one and it died in 2 weeks . Run out of old incandescent in 70w which is what I need for reading too - darn it got heaps of 60w.

Re Peter and breathing - I too had problems these days in bed - wake up not being able to breathe or used to more than now because take garlic pills, Herron with oil of peppermint so no reflux. Works for me - not 100% but 98% or enough to sleep also keep Vicks inhaler beside the bed for night trips to little room to make sure it stays clear to breathe. Worth a try.

Big Val we bought an approx.  5 kilo Salt Lamp  for $60 and the lovely soft light is really nice but we have not had it for night time yet :) Looking forward to dark. It does give a sea breeze scent which is also very nice. We also bought 2 x approx. 3 kilos each, one for our bedroom and one for the kitchen which will become a night light for the cats  when we go to bed. - these were $40 each. They are safe to leave on 24/7.

They were in Traralgon for a week as they travel around Victoria.

I will give you their web. www.foreverexotic.com.au

e-mail.     info@foreverexotic.com.au

Peter is going through such a bad patch trying to breathe at the moment and has to have CPAP to sleep and has a Vicks inhaler along with Ventalin and some other tablet thing goes into an inhaler. Will buy him Herron with Peppermint tomorrow as any port in a storm at the moment which may give him some relief. Thanks.

All the best

Phyl.

I think the bigger one in this room is around 7-8 kilos

I know we paid $59.95 for it but just chose it re visual size.

Still waiting for dark :)

They sure look good on the website - thanks for the info. Did see that salt in the room is good for our health on the TV one time. Remembered why these curly lights are bad for us - UV rays from them - and of course contain mercury so if broken - toxic - leave the room immdiately - cant be good for the tip methinks and bet they end up there.

Peter may sleep better if his head is higher - I have a bolster behind pillows to lift my head - rotten feeling that you cant breathe and believe me worse in the dark of the night waking up in a panic. Hope it helps him. As you say - cant hurt as natural - natures own anti biotic garlic and good for sinus, chest and colds flu etc - I started on recommended 2x3 times a day- now 2x2 and last 2 just as getting into bed. Have told other folk at the club and they have said helped them.

Just a post script on the  salt lamps. We are very happy with the three we bought and use day and night.

..

In fact so happy!  before they leave the mall today  we are off to buy an even bigger one for our large living room as the one we have is doing a good job we feel, but yes "us being us"  feel bigger might be EVEN BETTER. Are we nuts? probably! lol but we do feel the salt lamps are an added bonus to our health and we are having fun and enjoying them. Best thing of course Peter is breathing a tad better.

Sundays ae nice hey?

All the best

Phyl.
