Satellite

I've got my new satellite broadband up and running. It's really great. Even though I was only given a 5 minute run through, I've managed to somehow work it out. No more waiting for an e-mail to download, when previously, I could go off and make a cuppa, have a shower, get dressed, and still wait. I love it! Maybe I've just about joined the cyberworld???

You are now as moden as any girl can be Bev..............Well done ........... ;-)

Good on you Bev--a friend has that also he is with Harboursat--but doesn't get many downloads for the cost---only 500mb and some of peak as well--also all the very best for your time away.

What mongrels those kids were--I hope they have been caught--but you can be sure they will be let off with a warning

Must admit I'm just a tad bit disappointed after having used my son's ADSL for a week. The satellite is a vast improvement on the dial up I had, but just that bit slower. Not to worry - better is better after all.

BevG, I have a WIFI modem. I have n o idea how to use it ,I use the ADSL. The Help person said he would send instructions , but must have forgot.

I realise all this sounds silly to seasoned computerites but I never had interest in them at all. My work was not computer oriented , and charity work was conducted without them too.

How good are you on yours? I keep learning something new, but finding computer classes in a small country town is well nigh impossible.

At least I can fumble along and make mistakes in relative privacy.

I'm not a seasoned cumputerite either, still a learner. I did use computer programmes, (accounting), during my working years, but that's all I knew how to do and is totally irrelevant in any other way. I quite often make silly mistakes, but so far, nothing catastrophic. I haven't found any classes here either, so I just keep on plugging along, hopefully learning as I go. It's a bit of fun really.
