Seggie. Yes, Abby. I agree with you. Thanks, YLC for putting up with us. I wonder do you sometimes take to the drink?  Or hang by your toes like our dearly beloved Phyl.? Let's hope 2014 will bring good health to us all. One would love peace in the world but I won't hold my breath. Love to everybody and remember to stand under the mistletoe.

Yes I agree Seggie - we should also thank YLC

You can shout me a cuppa anytime segie :)

Do not hang by my toes but do Yoga, Pilate and Marshall Art

Thanks for reminding me to pack some Misletoe with us - just in case we find some toads to kiss LOL

Yoga and Pilates and Marshall Arts are difficult for all of us. Abby you have to be a a great roll model for others in wheelchairs.

You said you are off to the Phillapines today but it is nearly evening so you will be there late,  stay safe.

With you on that one Seggs. 2014 will be the "Beginning of the Future" for us all.

Yes Phyl :)

Like you I have a positive attitude towards life and whatever life hands you never look back, look forward. Fortunately the chemo and the accident were several years apart. The rehab and yoga with pilates were invaluable to my recovery.

I did Yoga and Marshall Arts since I was 13 at a Police Boys Club - they did not have one for the girls.

Muscle support is most important with any injury. We have a very good therapist who takes us through the paces twice a week. He has given me a list TTD whilst away

The only time I give the chemo any thought is when I have to front for my annual.

We are going to Phillipines via Bali where we will spend a couple of days with relatives on the way.

Yes I too am looking forward to 2014 - there must be good things awaiting us :)

Kitties, flowers and butterflies Ahhh!!! How lovely is that.

Abby have a nice trip and a safe one, a new year is always good to look forward to. A positive attitude is worth it's weight in gold, just to know that good things do happen when least expected, and with all its' troubles it is great to be alive.

Thank you and all the best to you seth:)

It is always great to wake up in the morning  - but I am so going to miss my chickens.

We should all put in for a Lotto ticket :)

You cannot win it unless you are in it.

Where are you now Abbey. Still in Bali? Must be good to catch up with rellies. Is Xmas in Bali or in the Philliphines. Anyway enjoy my dear. who's looking after your animals?

Yes it was great to catch up with my rellies Jaguar.

Am back with a sore foot so the chicken minder is staying on to look after me as well :)

Hope you enjoy youself too.

Have a great trip Abby and enjy the food, customs and culture of the Philippines......I have not been there yet myself but I believe it is a lovely place with very friendly people.

Seggie. Let's remember those who may be on their own this Christmas.  Families are so important.  They are at any time but Christmas may be the one time that they get together which is quite sad.  My guess is that most of you will have heard of someone who rarely see their family except on a birthday or Christmas. If you do and can possibly ask them to join you, that's what I call the Christmas spirit.

Dear Everyone at YLC,

Even though I rarely contribute to  the Meeting Place (Love doing the puzzles)

and enjoy reading all the comments of  Phyl, Abby, Seth etc. etc. I would like to

say to the team "Have a great Christmas and Best wishes for 2014"

Regards  Beatrice

Thank you for your Greetings Beatrice :)

You also have a Nice Peaceful Christmas and Happy Prosperous 2014 with Good Health.

Don't you enjoy Pete , Jags , Foxy , Innes , Geomac , vivety. etc etc .

I'd like to add my wishes also Beatress, May Christmas be a time of Joy with New Blessings for the New Year.

I would also express the same wishes to all on YLC.

It has been an interesting year, and a sad year, with the loss of Clay,

and others leaving,

Some have suffered personal tragedies and suffered quietly.

To all, Everyone,,I wish you receive for Christmas 'What You Need"

Life Is Great. Enjoy.

Yes seth :)

I too miss Clay's posts, with his sense of humour and nothing was too much bother for him, always happy to help where he could - yes a great loss.

Yes Seth, some people suffer in silence. Today a woman who I thought was a very happy, contended person burst into tears in front of a large group.  She was mortified with embarrassment but it got her talking.  She said she was "just sad" and didn't know why.  She's an older lady with no children.

She hasn't been to the doctor about it because she sees mental illness as a weakness and was horrified when someone suggested she had depression which could easily be fixed with anti-depressents, so I suspect she will keep struggling on without help. Christmas does strange things to people.

I read a story today about a man with no family who was so sick of having Christmas dinner by himself year after year, he put an ad in the Irish newspaper and he's been inundated with offers, such a nice story.

Merry Christmas everyone, especially you Abby, I hope those nasty people stop picking on you and we can all get along in 2014.

Thanks toot2000 :)

and the very best to you in the coming year - I share your wishes

It is nice to read a christmas story but it should be like that all the time.
