Dang!  How do you get rid of these double posts?????  Only happens on YLC.  Sorry Guys, I have no control over them :(

Gypsy, there should also be a REMOVE button to remove the double post -- once you see it -- as long as you do it straight away

It should not be happening but on occasions it does ..especially if you click onto POST REPLY more than once.... or hold the button down too long.

You do have the opportunity to edit or delete your post ... hence just delete the posts if more than one come up.

Suze..thanks - will do in future :)

Oops, sorry Gypsy I came back to the computer and cross-posted.  Fortunately, the very clever peeps here can do two at a time though :)

'Something old and something blue' made Australia rather special.  But you would need your looking glass to see it.

What is it and why so exciting?

Prefer yours anyways :)

'Something old and something blue'

It could claim to be the birthstone of the moon you see.

Blue sapphire ?

No.  I like them though :)

This could be the moon's birthstone.

Countless generations of rock but the wee blue crystals stayed the same, waiting to tell their story: lots of water where it should not have been, what a shock!

Is it the Earth's oldest crystal, found in Australia?

A zircon crystal found in the Jack Hills of Western Australia is the oldest rock ever found on earth. Researchers say means Earth began forming a crust far sooner than previously thought, following the giant impact event which created the Earth-Moon system 4.5 billion years ago.

Professor Samuel Bowring of MIT who wrote an accompanying opinion piece on the research, believes the findings indicate Earth's water didn't need to come from asteroids, during a period known as the late heavy bombardment 3.9 billion years ago. Instead, it suggests water was present in the liquid magma ocean that formed the zircon crystals.

More.

LJ ... what do you say?

Very tricky Gypsy.

I've got as far as ... Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code; "The Saint" Simon Templar ... something/someone to do with the templar theme? Mary Magdalene?

Any more clues?

yes I followed those too except for Mary M.

A man's name that is also a women's?  Leslie, the author?

Leslie Charteris wrote the Saint.

I have to ask why posting this here. This is a history pic thread.

??????

Wonder what happened to Richie ... he came ... he went LOL.
