The cost of air fares on commercial flights would be nowhere near the expenses racked up by this person , can't anyone count or do basic mathematics in these Ministers departments ?  Seems the answer is No ,

I was just about to post the same thing.  My Federal member was a good boy, well down the list.

"Federal politicians claimed almost $49 million in expenses over the first half of 2016, new documents have revealed."

Unbelievable they spent this much between them over 6 months and $55 million over the previous 6 months. 

Sussan Ley spent almost as much as Bronwyn Bishop between 1st January and 30th June 2016. How come?

"Foreign Minister Julie Bishop charged taxpayers $2,716 to attend the Portsea Polo for "official ministerial business".

It has also been revealed that two Federal Government ministers and a Tasmanian senator have charged taxpayers more than $2,500 for a trip to the AFL Grand Final in 2013.

The men were guests of the National Australia Bank and received complimentary tickets and hospitality.

One of the ministers, senator Mathias Cormann, is in charge of the department that oversees politicians' entitlements."
