Things warming up between China and US

Chinese state media has warned of a " devastating confrontation" if the US attempts to block access to islands in South China Seas.

China is "bucking the system" of World Peace to even contemplate what they have done with these "islands"!  They need to be "pulled into line" by some country?

NATO is too damned "weak" to stop them or do anything about it?  Why do we have NATO?  NATO are a joke!!!!

The United States called on China to stop its 'bullying behavior' in the South China Sea on Saturday, citing concerning reports regarding Beijing's 'provocative' actions aimed toward offshore oil and gas developments in Malaysia's mineral-rich Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). US officials accused China of taking advantage of the distraction posed by the coronavirus outbreak to increase its maritime presence in the region, ordering it to desist. However, the warning was not clearly not heeded, as, in the days since, China's survey ship Haiyang Dizhi 8 has persisted with a number of patrols close to Malaysian oil platforms in the South China Sea, namely the West Capella drillship, which sparked territory contentions between China and Malaysia when it began exploration activities in October.

While the world remains occupied with Covid-19, a resurgent China has moved to strengthen its role in the disputed region of South China Sea

Beijing has set up two administrative bodies on islands in the disputed waters, directly challenging the territorial claims of its neighbours — the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and Malaysia — and dubbed "its youngest city".
