True love or just a 'con'??

Dianne is 70 and a refugee advocate.  Mohsen is 31 and has been detained for 4 years and will never be allowed into Australia.

I don't know who is conning who here;  but someone is being conned.!

Hope the Government sees it for the con it is and deport her wih him

Next they will be having a child together.

A child at 70, he must be a miracle worker as well as a refugee LOL

It's a "con" of course or he lost his mind while he was detained...

I don't see how they could have got married. Don't you have to have some form of i.d. for the marriage licence? They said others refugees have married also. He is an asylum seeker and refuses to state where he is fleeing from. He could have many wives overseas. If she is 70 then I'm 21. He also declined to say whether he is in love.

I am also very surprised that the authorities would allow it to be quite honest!

No wonder he will not be allowed in here as he refuses to say where he is fleeing from.   Economic refugee as far as I am concered and am pleased he will not be allowed in.

I will bet my last dollar that if they end up in America (and she says she will go there with him) he will ditch her immediately he sets foot in America.  Silly, silly woman!!

Hmmm, wonder if people would be so vocal in the case of a man 70 becoming entangled with a woman 31?  I don't really see how under curent laws this mariage would be of any use in regard to residential status?

I just can't see where the con is.

You really can't!!  Are you jokin exPS LOL

.... lots of Indian guys in Melbourne will pay from $150,000 to $500,000 cash.......to marry an Aussie female to get permanent residential status ..... was thinking it over actually - ('cause they go their own way immediately after the wedding)      lol lol lol .......      be a couple of nice First Class cruises on the QE2       :-) :-)

I believe there are "underground agencies" that will arrange it all .....was on ACA last year ......

That is right Foxy.  I saw that program too.   Also saw a woman on that Customs show in the UK ...woman there in her late forties married a guy in his twenties.  Nothing they could do about it when she arrived back from India married to him and he was allowed into the country.

They looked like mother and son except for the fact he was Indian.

I think the 70 year old is hoping that because she is married to him he will be allowed into Australia despite the government ruling that none will get into Australia and will be going to the US.
