Trump impeached. What now?
Trump is the third US president to be impeached, after a historic vote in the Democratic controlled House of Representatives yesterday.
The two articles that were passed in the House of Representatives focussed on his abuse of power and obstruction of congress surrounding the Ukraine scandal.
Not a single Republican voted to impeach Trump. Some have suggested that this suggests that the Democrats are motivated by political bias.
This will lead to Trump’s trial in the Senate, who will decide whether or not to remove him from office in January. In order for Trump to be removed from office, two-thirds of senators must vote in favour of impeachment. However, as the Senate is currently held by Trump’s party, the Republicans, it is unlikely that the vote will result in favour of his removal.
No US president has ever been re-elected after being impeached. Do you think Trump could be the first in the upcoming 2020 election? Or has he run his course?
The Senate will punt this BS right out of the ball park. I don't know if Pelosi is a registered sorcière but one thing sure stands out. She does not need a besom broom for a prop.
