Turnbull radical Lefty

PRIME Minister Malcolm Turnbull has been labelled the most “radically leftist” leader Australia has ever had by former Labor leader Mark Latham.

The comments were made at the launch of Mr Latham’s new book Outsiders-I Won’t Be Silenced in Sydney today.

Broadcaster Alan Jones opened the event with a glowing endorsement of the book.

“(Latham) doesn’t miss any of the politicians either. Malcolm Turnbull is living in a world of delusion, (Latham) cites all the failures,” Mr Jones said.

“And he says … Turnbull is the most radically leftist and divisive Prime Minister in Australian history. As these massive changes swirl around this Turnbull has become a bit player, the political equivalent of a cud chewing cow watching the passing traffic.”

The broadcaster also said Mr Latham’s book outlines how government agencies are “culturally at war with suburban and regional Australia” and also canvasses “identity politics”.

“(Latham) talks about identity politics and he says this, quote, ‘subdividing the community on the basis of race, gender and sexuality. Building a resentment among groups ignored by the selective nature of identity favouritism’.

Identity politics is a result of too much focus on polls. If you look at the latest Essential polls on who we trust Government at all levels is almost as low down the list as trade unions. Of course there are other variables at play such as political correctness but these external influences only expose the one undeniable fact, we dont have strong leadership.

Oh for a Hawk or a Howard .

“Good Policy is Good Politics” Keating

FORMER Labor leader Mark Latham has likened an Australian university’s decision to invite a US academic to speak at an anti-racism conference to Apartheid-era South Africa.

Deakin University is advertising an “anti-racism” conference to be held later this month, at which Texas professor Amir Jaima will deliver a lecture entitled: “Don’t Talk to White People: On The Epistemological and Rhetorical Limitations of Conversations with white People for Anti-Racist Purposes”.

Speaking at his Sydney book launch on Thursday, Mr Latham said Deakin’s decision to hold the “taxpayer-funded” event was “insanity” and said parts of Dr Jaima’s work were like “medieval witchcraft”.

“Given he’s coming here to a conference at an Australian university, I’d assume everyone here in the room and beyond this one, will pay for it. This’ll be taxpayer funded,” he said.

“You wouldn’t feed this bloke. He’s going to come here and speak on the subject of ‘don’t talk to white people’. That’s his solution to racism in any part of the world, don’t talk to white people. Because white people are so ignorant, their racism is so entrenched, that what you need to do is not waste your time and breathe in talking to them.”

The politician-turned-controversial commentator read with bewilderment from promotional material distributed by Deakin University saying that Dr Jaima proposed “we stop talking to white people, or as I describe them, those who think of themselves as white”.

“This is straight from the middle ages, this stuff,” Mr Latham said.

“This is the modern equivalent of witchcraft ... it’s up for grabs, your skin colour.

“This is just appalling for this to be happening in a public institution.”

Mr Latham said all the idea would serve to do was to segregate society.

“When SA said don’t talk to black people, we were all horrified and withdrew trade with them and withdrew funding support, boycotts,” he told news.com.au at the event.

“Well, this is just the flip side of that, in our own country, in our own institutions, our own money. Why would we tolerate this?”

A Deakin University spokesman told news.com.au: “Deakin values the respectful and open contest of ideas by academics who are expert in their field. Hosting this symposium provides a forum for academics to freely debate these ideas.”

At the event, hosted by radio shock jock and Latham fan Alan Jones, Mr Latham

told a gathering of supporters the Deakin conference was an example of the divisiveness of the Left that he was fighting for.

“This is what leftism and Australia has become. It is what we fight against,” he said.

“We all need to form an alliance because essentially we’re fighting for our civilisation and for a better society where we do talk to each other, where we share things.

Where we do the good old Australian practice of treating people on merit and giving people jobs and promotions based on nothing more than their ability.”

How Britain is ruled by patronising b*#*@rds: QUENTIN LETTS names the worst offenders among the People Who Know Best who never tire of telling us what to do and think

By Quentin Letts for the Daily Mail

A rebellion has taken place in this country of ours, an uprising, a new Peasants’ Revolt. A real kick in the kidneys for Britain’s ruling elite.

Before the EU referendum in 2016, the electorate was told firmly what to do. A vote for Remain would be safe and strong, and woe betide the country if you were stupid enough to back Brexit. You know your duty, little ones, said the elite. Sod that, said the people.

In the greatest citadel-storming since the French Revolution, they chose to leave the obtrusive European Union.

But it was not a result that happened by accident. It was born of a weary truculence — a yeoman impatience with those who make up our perpetuating, invisible Brahmin caste.

For decades, Britons have been bossed about by a cadre of administrators and managers and pose-striking know-alls.

The old aristocracy having faded, in came a more furtive elite, driven by the desire to own minds, not acres, determined to control opinion and dictate our attitudes.

It was done on the sly, of course. They posed as liberals, and crouched behind ‘enlightened’ attitudes while imposing their views on a populace they claimed to esteem but more truthfully disdained

Politicians, civil servants and lawyers used a language few could understand, while government was farmed out to agencies and quangos and privatised supply companies.

Cheap labour was imported, suppressing workers’ wages, because that was what globalised boss-cats at the international forums said was necessary.

Could we criticise immigration? Only if we wanted to be called racists and fruitcakes. The elite’s media munchkins had placed it on the top shelf, somewhere safe where it could  it not be reached ,

Against our will, children were exposed to sex education by schools more interested in dogma than declension. Sex crimes rocketed.

Sociologists said murderers must be released into the community. Re-offending rates rose.

Smokers were made to feel like criminals. Criminals were encouraged to sue their victims.

From every side came instruction as to what we must think: about diet, gender, sexuality, race, even the weather, with the TV forecasters telling us to put on sun cream and giving silly names to every incoming squall.

The entire System was at it, badgering us, belittling us, patting us on the head, putting us in our place.

Think this. Don’t think that. Inappropriate! Hate-crime!

From the Chief Medical Officer and her strictures about alcohol limits to railway announcements saying ‘do not become a victim of crime’, they treat us like toddlers.

Even the most docile beach donkey, by nature placid and reliable, if repeatedly

kicked, will eventually refuse to co-operate. It will bare its teeth and walk in the other direction, pulling its tethers out of the sand.

So it has proved with the British voters.

Get off our backs, they said. Stop goading us. Stop being such patronising bastards.

The morning we discovered we’d break free from Europe was that unforgettable Friday, June 24, 2016.
