Video Down load helper Firefox

I have firefox on Windows 7 but every time I go to download and MP4 from   Video Download helper -- it tells me

Companion application required

 

Does anyone know about this and what and how it works -- used to be able to download with no trouble b4

Have you checked to see if windows is still supporting Windows 7? If not that is the problem.

I do not know you can download the videos as I am still using XP but perhaps the Windows website or Mr. Google can help.

Yes supported for7 till 2020 -- however this is a Firefox product Called 

Video download helper

Thats the one I already have Star-- but when I go to download an MP4 it tells me

Hi PB

Yes you will need to download (and scan) VdhCoAppSetup, nearly 38 Mb.

I have it installed, haven't detected any problems so far.

Or you can install other add-ons (extensions) from Mozilla.

I have

- 1 Click YouTube Video Downloader

- Flash and Video Download

- Flash Video Downloader

The reason I have a few is they don't all work on all sites for some unknown (to me) reason.

Just have a read of what's available and look at the reviews included to make your choice.

Thanks justme,  drives you mad when they change things -- used to work perfectly -- with just the Downloader -- I was always a bit Sus on downloading all this other stuff
