Have visited many pretty man made places Ann, but none can beat the natural wonders. Last year in Morocco, we took a camel ride to watch the desert sky and this sort of image suddenly makes you feel grateful to whoever created it. This is an image from the internet:

Hi Banjo.

Morrocco!   Have not been there.......I have been in a queue to ride a camel in Eygpt in 1966!   But the lady in front of me was bitten so I left the queue!

What time of the year did you visit Banjo?

Found this in the Daily Mail just now, in Tasmania!

Once in a blue moon! Stunning video captures the dazzling underwater phenomena lighting up the sea off the coast of Tasmania

This stunning footage may look like it's come straight from a Hollywood SciFi film, but it's in fact a rare scientific phenomenon known as bioluminescence, where billions of cells in the water come together to form a bright blue glow. The footage was captured in Preservation Bay, on the remote island of Tasmania.

That's incredible Ann..thanks for posting..

Must admit I am intrigued Thea, wonder why it has not been brought to the publics notice before now?

New Forest, Hampshire, UK.

Image result for New Forest Hampshire photosMost of this area is very pretty, it has its own atmosphere unique to the area.  There is nothing new about it.  The fact is it is an ancient forest where William the Conqueror rode with his sons.  Rufus was a son and there is a stone in his name there.  He was killed by an arrow.

But be careful of the ponys that are allowed to roam and do!  Some cattle and lots of pigs roam the roads and forest.

I call it my magical place, but don't go on weekends!  Husband was born in a village there and I was born in Winchester. We still have relations there.  Husband on the request of his parents scattered their ashes there some years ago. Very emotional experience.

Ann..love the New Forest..it was a favourite day out during the school holidays and also visits to Beaulieu Abbey...

Yes Thea.....how I miss the area!

Wish we had retired there personally, once one gets use to the cold.  When we went back in January 2000 I froze.  I had to have major surgery at the time just before we flew to Holland, but husband would not leave me home alone so he said to the powers that be, I had to come!   He was their trouble shooter for the rail.  So off I went and it never stopped snowing in Haalem.

That winter I wore long johns under my jeans!  LOL

The next winter I remember I was climatized and just wore a light cardigan outside unless it got below freezing.  I had purchased a lambskin coat at Victoria Markets  [husband was in Melbourne for a year prior to us moving over to the UK].  Thats another story!

It probably takes a year for the blood to thicken up!  LOL

But yes I do love that area and also Wiltshire!  Very pretty canals there.

Yorkshire, the largest of the British Counties.   Miles of stone walls that have been created Years ago by the farmers, miles of twisting roads with hedges. Often driving through theseCountry lanes a partridge would come running across the road, or a squirrel would jump From one side of the narrow lane to the other side. Mole hills scatter some areas of grass.Much to my late standard poodles amusement.  He was not familiar with Moles in Oz. If you have time to wonder around the UK this is another part of the world that is worth a visit.  Best time would be in August/September although nobody can guarantee the Rains will abate in any month.  If you want to see the Spring daffodils in York the colder months would be the best time.  Harrogate has some lovely expanse of green lawn with crocus in.
