The Meeting Place

What made you SMILE :-) ...today??

This topic came to mind just a few minutes ago (Wed. 5th. March 9.45am) when I opened an email from Woolworths Online Shopping that was headed 'We have a Birthday surprise just for you" ! My birthday is not til the long-weekend...but hey - doesn't matter....

Woolies have given me a large "Birthday" chocolate mud-cake FREE and $10 OFF my next online order!  Excellent PR obviously but made me SMILE........  :-)

Kinda makes up for me "bagging" them on that particular topic lol .........so I thought - there probably is "something" that does make us smile daily but we just don't recognise it as we too busy being "pissed off"!

Let's try and have a "Smile a Day".................  :-)

Arghhhhh Cats - you are a mean mean "Cat" - stop with the cream bun taunting  ..... lol - BTW - I will be at the Sth. Melb. Market on Easter Sat - not sure what time?  Do they have cream buns there? lol lol

Am so looking forward to going there next Sat.  - been years since I been there ....when I lived in Hampton I used to go all the time! .......   :-)

Do they still have all the "old wooden" stalls there - clothes hanging everywhere etc. or is it all "modernised" now???

.... just put this Topic on top of alllllllll  the scammers - that made me smile   :-) ...... (gets worse everyday!) ........

What about putting a few more topics on top Related image

That will make me smile

Geeeeez -  nothing good enough for you huh??? lol lol lol .....   :-)

Hey this made me laugh today:  Was half watching one of the "brekkie shows" and they were talking about the new Qantas flight from Oz to UK - non-stop - 17 hours ....... so a roving reporter hits the "peeps on the streets" asking what they thought of this new flight ................

..."ohhh blah blah blah  - wonderful"  - most of 'em gushed ....... reporter then asked this guy walking past -  who said:

"No good asking me love - could think of nothing worse - can't go 3 hours without a bloody cigarette!" ............... lol lol lol lol

...  they couldn't get him off camera quickly enough!  Sooo funny .........

HI FOXY,  no,  no clothes flapping in the wind at the market anymore,   they are pretty civilised there now,  lol,   pity you couldnt go some other time,    by easter saturday/sunday,  not many stalls will be open,   people go away for the long weekend,   you will probably only find the vegetable people open,  and a couple of the butchers,      most will be closed down,    if you DO go,    stand on the outside and look over to your left,  you will see the big SPOTLIGHT CENTER,     go over there [only a couple of yards away]    as you walk in,    there is a tobaconist,  then,  CREAM BUNS,     the shop is next door,    vanilla slices, meringues,  eclairs,     can also get hot meat sandwiches,    beef, pork,    also rolls,   home made pies,       it is only fairly small,   but yummy goods,    do you know what time you are going?   give me a P,M,    ok?  talk soon,

Making my mouth water.

Yeeee haaaaaaaaa  yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm    :-)

.... was sitting having lunch with Dr. Phil (pain in the arse he is lately - freakin' "know all") -  flickin' thru'  it .....when I saw a woman with a small terrier dog coming across my front lawn with heaps of "mail" type stuff in her hand ....................

.. I had seen my "overflowing mailbox" earlier and planned to go out and retrieve it - but it had been pouring with rain and so thought - arghhh - later ....... when the rain stops .....

She left all my mail on the front doorstep!!  How very very kind!!!!   By the time I realised what she had done - she was gone!

Initially I thought she was "spruking/selling" something???

If I see her passing again I will thank her so very much!  Just goes to show there are still nice considerate people left in this world!  How nice!!!!

This woman gets my BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG SMILE for today!!! :-) :-)

P.S.  Nice "belated birthday" pressie from the Govt. there also - Bowel Cancer Kit - ohhh ffs - please!!!!!  Leave me alone!!!!!

Govt. is such a pack of "shits"  - it doesn't need extra from me!   Ugh!

Ugh!   Related imageDon't lick your finger afterwards

A big smile from me today for KMart...bought as long striped dress for summer (on clearance) for $2...no need to even take up the hem...fitted perfectly. Great for our trip to Darwin in June.

Also a pair of shorts for my other half for $2 ....AND not finished yet....a lovely blue oval  dish  for the bathroom in the exact shade of dark blue I wanted...$3.

AND a top from Rockhmans for $20 (was $69.99) everything in shop $20 or less today.

No wonder KMart is a very popular place to shop these days...giving some of these overpriced homewares shops a run for their money.

You did well Radish ...no wonder you are smiling :)

This made me smile

Hiya Cats - yessssss!  Was at South Melbourne Market at 9.45am Easter Sat.

So were one million other peeps!!!   Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - traffic banked up all around it - gridlocked/jammed - nightmare.........could not park anywhere - anywhere!!  So ended up paying stupid fee's at some carpark nearby ..........but was worth it!  :-)

Started at Aisle "B" - people so banked up - could hardly move ....bought some really cool stuff at a place called "Market Imports" RHSide of Aisle B ... fabulous lady.... one of the best stalls IMO

Things quite expensive - considering a "market"?  Loooooved that Pie Stall with all the hundreds of "speciality" pies and quiches - but goddam Cats - the prices?????

All the stalls were there - jam packed - so not sure how long it has been since you were there on a Sat. (holiday?)

Went to the Spotlight Centre to find the Cream Buns - none there at 11.30am - may have sold out?  Most places in that arcade were closed - so don't really know if we ended up at the right place?  Anyway - the cake shop we went to in there - we got some really cool eclairs and some Vanilla slices!   Yummmmmmmmmm!

Not sure what time you went to Coles Cats?  Market was pumping bigtime when we got there - all stalls open and operating!

:-)

Oh yeah - would have loved some of those freshly shucked oysters at the Oyster Bar there - but bit hard to handle at 10 am - lol lol (well for me anyways) - especially after a late Rest. dinner the night before!!   Argh .... lol

No wonder John (of John and Melissa - Married at FS) didn't wanna leave the city and the West - to come live on the Mornington Peninsula!

I just spent 3 days in the West with my son at his lovely home ....and coming back here to the coast - is like returning to a freakin' morgue! lol lol lol ...... trust me!

The hipsters/super trendy peeps - vibe in general - restaurants - bars of the "West"  are simply to "die for"!!   Well almost ...................   :-)

I was spoilt rotten!!!!    Best Easter!     :-) :-) :-)
