Why we need the US and Great Britain

flags of the world

The United States took the top slot as the world’s super power, while Britain took the only Global Power slot, bringing her in second behind America.

Regional powers include France, China, India and Germany, while local powers were those such as Italy, Brazil, and Turkey.

Is this a Lazarus thread ?

" Without any inhibitions of any kind ,I make it quite clear that Australia looks to America, free of any pangs as to our traditional links or kinship with the United Kingdom."

Curtin knew we needed The USA and had Kinship with UK . Just like now

CURTIN KNEW THIS ALSO

Thus did a former prime Minister declare regarding the White Australia policy>>>>>'During the Second World War, Prime Minister John Curtin reinforced the policy, saying;

"This country shall remain forever the home of the descendants of those people who came here in peace in order to establish in the South Seas an outpost of the British race."

Multiculturalism sure wrecked that up.

NONE OF THIS TROUBLE IN THE 50's....Those who betrayed Australia with multiculturalism are traitors and remain so as far as I am concerned, their heritage to this nation is now become problems on so many levels, and division among people, and I do not care who does not like me for saying this, for I am not here to win any popularity contest, it is however the truth.

Jesus was an Arab

probably black or brown

Which means Jehovah was black

i totally agree pixi

growing up in the 50's and starting work in the early 60's i see the great lifestyle australia had then, with minimal pollution, miniscule crime rate, no waiting lists at hospitals, full employment, overtime available for those that wanted it, anybody could buy a house if they wanted to, you could get work in any area you wanted to live. except for the heart of sydney or melbourne, it was so easy to get a parking spot, and even in the heart of melbourne or sydney you could still get one but you had to look for a while ......

there used to be fish in the rivers and oceans, and there was no rainbow of oil slicks in the creeks back then. there used to be a fair bit of wildlife, even in the outer suburbs of sydney.

by comparison, todays country that we are handing over to our grandkids is an overcrowded pulluted shithole, and we should be ashamed of ourselves for screwing this once great country up for our descendants.

we let in far too many immigrants, we exported way way too many jobs to the turd world, and took their surplus unwanted population onboard to compete with aussie workers for the few jobs that were left. and the migrants like carlos continue to say that we need more migrants to "maintain our way of life". what freaking way of life? increasing unemployment? increasing the already high crime rate? jails so overcrowded that judges almost always give suspended sentences unless it is really serious, or he doesnt like the defendants lawyer? 15 years ago, sydney harbor was so polluted with zinc, that it was almost feasible to mine it there. only reason it wasnt feasible was the high price of real estate there.

multiculturalism continues to be a dismal failure, but the pollys are still spruking that it is a success. mind you, they dont eat at the lindt cafe .....

Bishop said from Australia’s point of view the alliance would hold up under a Trump presidency. “The Trump camp made it clear to me Australia is considered a close and strong ally of the US,” she said.

“I am confident that whomever the American people in their wisdom choose to be president, there will be an ongoing strong connection with Australia.”

The Australian opposition leader, Bill Shorten, has endorsed Clinton and said Trump’s views are “barking mad”, earning him a rebuke from Turnbull who warned the comments were “not in the national interest”.

Agreement  on cost-sharing which will now enable a full contingent of 2500 US Marines to be rotated through Darwin under the regional pivot put in place by outgoing President Barack Obama.

The deal, crunched between Mr Obama and Labor prime minister Julia Gillard in November 2011, aimed to rebalance US forces in the Asia-Pacific to counter the rise of China.

It was agreed to rotate US Air Force planes through the Top End, Navy ships through Australian ports and, by 2017, build up a permanent force of 2500 Marines in the country's north.

Britain will formally begin the process of leaving the European Union by next March and complete "Brexit" by 2019, Prime Minister Theresa May said Sunday.

May told the BBC she will present a "Great Repeal Bill" to remove the European Communities Act of 1972, making the U.K. an "independent, sovereign nation."

immigrants was perhaps the key issue that led to Brexit. The EU sets immigration rules — as well as other social and economic policies — for members, a power that has provoked a backlash in many European countries in addition to the U.K.

"When the vote took place, apart from the message of leaving the EU, there was also a clear message from the British people that they wanted us to control movement of people from the EU coming into the U.K., so we will deliver on that," she said.

Britain will be offered a free trade deal before the rest of the European Union if the Republicans win the US presidential election, Donald Trump's trade adviser has said.

Dan DiMicco said Britain was "a friend" of America and was leaving the EU for the right reasons.

Both presidential candidates say they are against present plans for a free trade deal between the US and Europe.

Mr DiMicco called for an overhaul of the global free trade system.

"These are not idle threats," he told the BBC.

We need to very quickly , like the Brits , get on side with the future President . Having Shorten calling the future President mad is no help .
The Brits are making themselves indispensable  by for instance sharing defence . UK and USA aircraft carriers operating together .
Brit and US intelligence intertwined .
Refugee agreement ...

There is a new world order coming . The US and UK will use their strength . We should not be left out

The current American ambassador to the UK has insisted that the two countries share an “unbreakable” special relationship.

He said: “I grew up in Lincoln, Massachusetts so it feels like coming home. Lincoln is a small town of 5,000 people and Boston is a big city, so it’s the opposite to what it is here.

“Part of what I was discussing with the sixth formers was all the hard work our countries have done together.

Because of the history, you can think we do hard things together because we’re friends. I think it’s the other way round. We are friends because we’ve done hard things together and there’s a lot of hard things we’re doing now that we need to keep doing.

“President Obama came to the UK last Spring. When he was asked about Brexit, he along with myself and John Kerry have said that it was up to the British people.

“He said whatever happened on June 23, this special relationship is unbreakable. You think about the commercial bonds, the emotional bonds, the historical bonds that connect us, that is strong.

“Beforehand we wanted a strong UK in a strong European Union. And now only one word changes. We want a strong UK and a strong European Union.”
