Woman goes berserk after being told her flight was being diverted

A passenger on a Spirit Airlines flight went berserk after being told the plane was being diverted due to a medical emergency.

The woman ran towsards the front of the plane screaming obsenities after passengers were told the flight from Houston to Minneapolis needed to land due a passenger falling ill.

Another passenger took footage of the meltdown and it has since been shared thousands of times on social media.

Is there any excuse for this type of behaviour? What's the worst 'meltdown' you've witnessed on a flight?

Disgusting behaviour, luckily have never seen a meltdown on a plane, I don't think we realize just how stressful it is living in the 21st Century, and seems to be getting worse every day.

I experienced a meltdown from the man sitting next to me on a plane.  We had touched down and come to a stop, whereupon everyone jumped up and jammed the aisle.  I decided to wait until most had disembarked before trying to get out myself.  I was in the middle seat..the man sitting next to me in the window seat wanted me to let him out, I told him I needed to wait as I have a bad leg and can't move around easily.  He got very aggressive and I was becoming nervous.  Nobody in the queue was moving, so to avoid things getting out of hand I had to press the call button repeatedly.  A flight attendant came and cleared a path so I could move and he could get out, which avoided an incident.  I was very scared by now.....she directed me to an empty seat and brought me some water, I was shaky and grateful to her. You just never know who you are sitting with or how they will behave.

Yep. Mentally disturbed people everywhere. Especially in confined space. Hate to be with one or more  like that stuck 20 floors up in a lift.

A very large family boarded a flight from OZ to New Zealand. I'm unsure why they wanted different seats but they refused to sit in the allocated ones.  Nobody spoke English well and couldn't/wouldn't return to their seats. The flight attendants became increasingly frustrated and every one's voices increased in volume. Accompanying children bagan wailing and the men were raising voices and fists. After a half an hour of arguing the airport 'police' boarded and escorted the whole lot off. We then had to wait while they offloaded enormous piles of baggage.  Consequently people with connecting flights became increasingly annoyed and joined in the yelling as they called for the extended family to be chucked off the plane.  Eventually they got their wish and the plane took off an hour and half late.

United Airline allow some passengers to take animals on board for emotional support. This guy took his turkey, LOL

Everbooked a flight with Spirit?  I have.  Got to the terminal to be greeted by a sign (not a person) stating the flight was cancelled.

After that I found a manned counter elsewhere and the best this airline had to offer was a flight TOMORROW, so I would have had to pay for the hotel as well as rearrange transfers at the other end.

I promptly went down to Southwest abd they gave me a discounted flight because I had use them for 4 years running.  Everything fine other than being 2 hours late.

Spirit?  A bit like our own Tiger.  Pitiful.  I can understand the woman's anger.  This airline cares nil about its passengers.

another tale of our labor mickie, don't you love him

My son was travelling back to Melbourne last Saturday on the first flight out of Sydney. Jet Star rang him at 4.30am on the flight day saying his flight had been cancelled and they would put him on the next Qantas flight which was 9.a.m. but he still had to be there two hours before the departure. Well I rushed him to the nearest railway station only to be told the next train had been cancelled and there was a 40 minute wait for the next one. I immediately raced him off to Strathfield Station where he had to book an Uber driver to take him to the airport, this cost him $45.00 he was ropeable.

A dear friend of mine was so looking forward to a trip to Mauritius. Everything went well until the plane arrived at Perth airport, where they had to change planes. Well, the passengers waited and waited and were not told about the delay and when someone asked what was the matter, they said there was a slight holdup and they were given food vouchers to get a small lunch. Two more hours later they were told that they had engine problems and a part was being sent over from Korea - Korean Air Lines. They were then bundled on to 2 buses to stay overnight until the next morning. When the buses arrived my friend was in tears as all her connecting details were cancelled. She rang her daughter in Sydney who said not to continue and she would get her on the next flight home. I only hope she will get some sought of compensation.

How awful Hola, I guess everyone has a horror story to tell but once when I saw how a man was so rude to one of the female receiptionists at the airport, I promised myself that no matter how frustrating it became, I would try to behave, it must be one of the most frustrating things in life - air travel lol

There seem to be so many mentally disturbed people around these days -- and getting worse

Looks as if they have 2 medical emergencies they need to land for.
