Yay, free everything! Roll up, roll up.

Tasmanian Labor leader Rebecca White announced several new funding commitments, including $24m a year to scrap public school fees.

The Policy is weird because 40 per cent of families, on the lowest incomes were already exempt from the fees.

So who is going to pay for wealthier families fees in Tassie .

Someone needs to tell  Ms White that it won't be free, someone else always has to pay, and with regards to Tasmania it will be the rest of Australia. Socialism doesn't work, the only people who do well out of it are politicians.

This is classic Labor - welfare and handouts to win votes - nothing to build the failed state.

Raining taxpayers dollars a Labor specialty got to grow that sense of entitlement to ensure the vote.

They should be putting them up, not abolishing them. If Tassie is in such a good financial situation they can afford to do that, take some of their gst and give it to WA.

Raph you would think that a site that depends on advertising to make a profit would be champions of free enterprise and the right.

But instead we get fed “Progressive “. Bullshit and restriction on free speech by taking down of threads and posts not agreeing with the moderators view .

In the meantime Micha in all his guises can insult members as above with no redress ..

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.Margaret ThatcherTags: entitlementgovernmentlike

Federal Labor has virtually ruled out supporting a controversial proposal to legislate significant increases in the minimum wage, declaring the Fair Work Commission should retain a central role is setting wages for the low paid.

Asked if Labor was still considering legislating minimum wage rises or leaving minimum wages to the commission but changing its parameters, Mr O’Connor said Labor was undecided.

And these people want to run Australia

We haven’t decided the best approach but I’m just making it very clear that Labor has always been a strong advocate for an umpire,’’ he said.
