Taking to the skies in the next year? Here’s who to fly with.
Alongside its Airline Excellence Awards, AirlineRatings.com has just announced it’s top 10 airlines for 2017.
To qualify for the top 10, airlines must achieve a seven-star safety rating and demonstrate leadership in innovation when it comes to passenger comfort. Developed after two years of evaluation, AirlineRatings.com’s unique seven-star ratings system is now endorsed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
With considerable audited website feedback from passengers also taken into account in the evaluation, Airlineratings.com Editor-in-Chief, Mr Thomas, explained “they are looking for leadership and airlines that innovate to make a real difference to the passenger experience particularly in economy class.”
The top 10 airlines for 2017 are:
- Air New Zealand
- Qantas Airways
- Singapore Airlines
- Cathay Pacific Airways
- Virgin Australia/Virgin Atlantic
- British Airways
- Etihad Airways
- All Nippon Airways
- Eva Air
With two Australian airlines making the cut, Qantas was a big mover this year – jumping from fourth position up to second, with Virgin also moving two places from seventh to fifth spot.
Mr Thomas concluded by saying, “whether number one or number 10 these airlines are the best of the best – the elite in aviation. They are the trendsetters and the benchmark by which all others are judged.”
Something to consider when booking flights in the future – particularly, if like the majority of the world, you fly economy. Which is your airline of choice?
