Yesterday, 12 July 2012, marked the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. 50 years ago the band, made up of Mick Jagger (vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar), Elmo Lewis, real name Brian Jones (guitar), Dick Taylor (bass), Ian Stewart (piano), and Mick Avory (drums), played their first show at the old Marquee club in London. To celebrate, the YOURLifeChoices team has picked its top five Rolling Stones’ songs of all time. Do you agree with the choices, or is your favourite missing from the list?

Yes as far as absolute hits go your top five Rolling Stone list is on the ball. I have seen the Stones play all of these songs live. I have very fond memories of seeing the Stones at Brisbane during their 1995 tour particularily when Brown Sugar was played. Mick Jagger ran up to the upper stage and when Brown Sugar started I was bouncing in my electric Gopher mobility scotter. Mick must have remembered me from the previous visit to the upper stage because he looked straight across to the crazy lady dressed to the nines in a purple and turquoise satin dress who could not keep still, then he waved and grinned broadly. Angie is a beautiful Stones song which they played in 1995. However Mona remains my favourite Rolling Stones song.
