Airline Update: February 2017

New routes and air alliances can mean more travel options, so what’s new in the air and on the ground this week?

Air Canada celebrates with a new look

Canada is celebrating its 150th national day anniversary this year and Air Canada has joined the action by unveiling a new livery for its fleet, new uniforms and new food and beverage options. After an absence of 24 years, the new livery features the country’s encircled iconic maple leaf emblem, and will be rolled out across the entire fleet of 300 aircraft.

The new uniforms coming in later this year are in a similar style featuring black and charcoal grey designs with red accents. Passengers also have Lavazza premium Italian coffee, Quebec cheeses and Canadian and international wines to look forward to from April.
