The most exciting part of cruising is exploring new locations. Royal Caribbean provides Voyager of the Seas cruisers with 49 shore excursions to choose from along the 11-night cruise.

Below is just a taste of some of the amazing excursions on offer during your cruise.

Castle, Brewery & Scottish Experience
The tour starts with a guided walk through the historic Speight’s Brewery, surrounded by the aroma of hops and malt and, yes, tasting is included in the experience. The next stop along this tour is the Larnach Castle which was built in 1871. You will enjoy lunch inside the stately building accompanied by a traditional Haggis Ceremony. After lunch you will receive a guided tour of the castle where you will learn the dark secrets of Larnach.

Lord of the Rings – Weta Cave & South Coast Tour
A must for all Lord of the Rings trilogy fans, journey to the real Middle Earth. Visiting the location where filming first started, you will see some amazing locations, including where Frodo and the hobbits began their journey.  Your trip continues into Weta Cave, which has been set up as a mini-museum, with many original movie props and offerings from the films. Finally, after a short drive along the South Coast, your journey will end where Frodo and Sam reached the Gates of Mordor.

Taieri Gorge Train Excursion
Travelling along the eastern shores of the Otago Harbor by vintage train, enjoy beautiful scenery and rugged hills. The train will stop at the Pukerangi Plateau so you can stretch your legs and take photos of the surrounding countryside.
